Absolutely unacceptable hygiene standards — shocking experience last night !!!
I won’t even start with the crispy rice not being crispy and cold in the centre, or the fishy taste of the tuna. What I will share is something truly disgusting.
After we paid, I walked inside to the bar area to ask for some takeaway soy sauce. While standing there, I witnessed a member of staff — who I later found out was the duty manager — handling a glass of ice for a customer in the most unhygienic way imaginable.
There was excess water in the glass with the ice, and instead of using proper tools or hygiene protocol, she tipped the glass upside down onto her bare hand, using her fingers to hold the ice back while the water drained. She then handed that same glass back to a waiter, who casually went on to serve it to a customer. Two waiters and the barman saw this happen and said nothing.
When I asked who she was, I was told she’s the duty manager — which made it even more alarming.
I felt sick. I had just had a drink with ice myself. 🤮
I told one of the waiters what I saw, and while he agreed it was disgusting, no one came over to apologise. Not a single member of staff made any effort to acknowledge the seriousness of what had just happened.
This is not just poor service. It’s a serious hygiene issue, and the indifference shown by the staff is unacceptable. I will not...
Read moreToday we went to have lunch at Nammos. First the choice of the table was between 2 tables which were not very well placed (one near the entrance the other near the waiters' working station, meaning very noisy). Secondly, after discussing with the waitress to get the dishes together, the sushi came after 2 min and it also was the wrong order. When we became the second dish, it was cold. We also asked only one ice cube in the coke and we received a glass full with ice. The duty manager came and apologized, but at first didn't offer a compensation, only after we informed him about the additional mistakes mentioned above, he suggested to offer the sushi on the house. Now, would you say that the check did or didn't included the sushi? Of course it did and we asked the waitress to consult with the duty manager and get back to us with a new check, which she did. There is no communication and management structure in this place. The food was mediocre, especially for an...
Read moreAn elegant atmosphere, good service, and best sit-down restaurant for sushi I have had in Israel (although I have yet to try Sushi Roku in Haifa, which I am told is also one of the top) after living here for almost 6 years. Sushi is my favorite food group, you could call me a sushi connoisseur. As a born and raised Angelino who grew up eating traditional sushi made by diaspora Japanese, this is the closest I've gotten to acquiring a real sushi fix. They carry a few of the traditional fish groups but are also limited to others - tuna, yellowtail, and salmon is mainly what you will find. Nammos also get's major major kudos just for their in-house ponzu sauce they make (I wish they would bottle it, cause I would be their lifelong customer). 4/5 stars, as it is insanely expensive for anyone, and is more on the boujie side in terms of audience. So be ready to pay and arm and a leg for a small amount of food, that will make your tastebuds and tummy super...
