Booked with Eurocamp. Arrived early. Checked into the campsite, paid 62€ for taxes. Walked around and was genuinely shocked at the cramped units, no parking in the site. ||The pool was empty. One family sitting on the concrete by pool, direct sun. Campsite has decided to charge 4€ per lounger, 12€ per double lounger and an umbrella. There was no grass to sit near pool. Yet park was supposedly full! ||Walked through to the lake, was like a rubbish tip! Very disappointing. If you walked either way 15 minutes all other campsites had nice views and set ups. ||Went back to bar area. Lady there was very rude. Got told to sit at a table outside the toilets despite the whole bar empty?! Then was ignored when trying to order a drink. ||Decided this was a no go. Had tried the Eurocamp rep 2 times and was hung up on. Even though units clean and empty.||Rung UK. Eurocamp agreed to refund and we would leave site. ||Went back into reception to explain and ask for the 62€ back as was not staying. Got told no. I said that was not OK and that a refund needed to happen as I would be paying the government tax at the next place. Got told I did not understand, that I did not listen. By this time the lady in reception was shouting at me. She said Eurocamp must refund. I said No, Eurocamp have refunded. The tax was taken by you. For 20 minutes she just huffed, puffed, shouted at me. Eventually the Eurocamp reps came as I called them. They were very apologetic. Eventually the Campsite manager came and we were instantly given the money back and apologised too. All reception staff were talking and laughing about us. Taking the piss to our face. It was an horrendous experience. I left the campsite shaken and in tears. The manager was only concerned that I did not think her campsite was nice. She never apologised for the rude and attacking member of staff. They do not want Eurocamp on site. I advise you to cancel if you have this place booked....
Read moreThis campsite is excellent! We stayed for two weeks in out tent. The pitches were smallish but perfectly acceptable and most were shaded. The facilities are excellent and I was really impressed with the site when we first arrived. The showers and toilets were modern and clean and cleaned regularly. There were also good washing facilities - washing machines for 3 euros and large ironing boards, should you need them. The site is literally on the lake. There is no beach but a small walkway into the lake. We used the restaurant on site a few times and had lovely pizza which was also very reasonable - 4.50 euros for a plain pizza. Also wine on tap - 3.50 for 1/2 carafe. The pools were really good - fountains,a jacuzzi part and large taps were enjoyed by us and the kids. My daughter loved the kids club and the 4 reps worked so hard throughout the day and night. Although she was the only British child there, Mariline (not sure if this is right!) and Julia made her feel welcome and made her time there fun. The evening entertainment was aimed at the kids and there was a mini-disco with the same songs and dances every night so the kids could get involved and my two loved joining in. There was also a "show" after this, which involved the same 4 reps doing sketches and variety performances! There is a good shop on site - a little more expensive than the local supermarket, but very handy. We also went to Gardaland for the evening - it is literally next door. Would definitely recommend this campsite. We were the only British people on site which didn't bother us but it would have been nice for my two children to have made...
Read moreStayed for a week in 2 tents. The staff in reception are unbelievably helpful, really felt they were bending over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. The site has an on-site entertainment troupe (like Butlins red-coats) and they too were amazing; we were gobsmacked at how hard they worked perfecting their routines and learning everyone's names - they even came up with an endearing nickname for our youngest - Carrots! They did make us laugh. They helped make our kids' holiday one they won't forget. The pitch was massive, same pitch used for campers and caravans. Electrical point is in with the price so a bonus as we hired a fridge. The facilities are spotless, with so many staff working around the clock ensuring they stay that way. The pool is great for cooling down in, with a section cordoned off so adults can swim lengths. The lake is lovely, right on the doorstep of our pitch. We often sent the kids to the pool and we went in the lake. Views and surrounding areas are simply breathtaking. There is internet on site near the communal area. The bar served lovely food, ice creams and drinks all day/evening. ||This camp site is the sort of place you hope to find but never really believe exists, it seemed too good to be true, but believe me, it is such a paradise and words cannot convey how wonderful it was to stay here - can't recommend Camping Gasparino...
