I will start off by saying that the rooms were pretty clean (even though really archaic looking) and the towels were changed every day, so I would like to give kudos to the cleaning staff they did a great job.
We had some issues at the start since we didn't receive the hotel room which we paid for(sea view , etc). Reception took some time but managed to actually give us a room that we paid for in the same day. The toilet was a bit broken and always slides when you sat down on it (which became pretty annoying and sorta of an acrobatics feet in the mornings).
The rooms are pretty old and there weren't that many spots where you can put your packages in (which was not that big of an issue), a bigger issue to me was the fact that the AC Power Plugs/Pockets were very outdated and most of them could not even connect with the plug for my Laptop (it also felt like they were about to break every time you plugged something in).
Please keep in mind that they were always animations starting from around 22:00 until 00:00 and if you are someone who cannot sleep when there is a lot of noise around you I suggest taking ear plugs + the train passes by the hotel which adds additional noise (if you want a quiet place to stay this is not it).
The food at the restaurant was decent except at our first night when we by some very bad luck tried a pasta that looked like it had grounded beef, but alas it was made with anchovies which made my first meal in Italy one of the worst thing I have ever eaten. The waiters were fast, efficient and helpful when we have asked them about the foods (do not expect ingredients or even the name of the food to be shown anywhere). There was not a lot of food variety and most of it tasted alright and sometimes bland but such was the hotel (the wines were awful tho). The Hotel also has a nice Pasteria which had some pretty good Gelato but an awful Bar (which made one of the worse Spritz and Coffee I have tasted in Italy) and very poor waiter quality (they never did come and offer us to take our order).
I cannot really recommend this Hotel since it does have a decent amount of issues and very small positives (forgot to mention that it is around 3 KM to Cefalu from the hotel which is a fine distance but not alright if you are an elderly). If you prefer a quieter place I would suggest going...

Read moreOverall - it’s really not great. There were one of two staff members who were really lovely, the rest were so rude and not friendly at all. It’s like getting a tree to talk to you. Not talkative, no friendly smiles and just very difficult to deal with. We didn’t even bother telling the staff we got engaged our 4th night here as we really did not see the point- they 100% would not have acknowledged our special occasion. What a shame.
The rooms are extremely old and shabby, bathroom even older and the beds are like sleeping on a hard wood floor. The cleaning staff however, did do a fantastic job and really were thorough making sure the rooms were spotless daily. Most nights there was really loud music in the venue above the restaurant and it is very difficult to get to sleep. This hotel is a also a long walk to Cefalù city centre so bring comfortable walking shoes.
We also had the icing on top of the bad stay on our last day, when we booked a taxi for a particular time and there was miscommunication with reception staff who booked it. They came over to us in the restaurant in a very aggressive manner, telling us our taxi is waiting outside and we need to hurry up. It was not the time we booked our taxi for and when booking the taxi, we confirmed the time twice with reception staff. It was an error on their end and they made it out...
