Le Petit Tonneau - Winery & Putia — Restaurant in Cefalù

We found this place through the Fork. Matteo our waiter was great! He recommended a great wine and was very attentive and funny host.

As an appetizer we ordered grilled octopus with orange and mozzarella. Unfortunately, the octopus was just a little too chewy and the dish wasn't salted.

We had Pizza and it was mediocre for Italian standards and for EUR 14 a pizza also on the expensive side. They were definitely using fresh ingredients, one of the artichokes had a bit of a hard leave on it still.

The windows of the area we were sitting in were still covered with some sort of paper. Probably something they did for winter and they left the door open, which meant that it was really cold while sitting there. Our visit was in April and outside it was down jacket weather. They also have a nice garden and I'm sure it would have made a big difference if the weather was nicer and we could have sat outside.

We paid around EUR 70 for two people including a 20 % discount on the food. I think it would have been around EUR...

What a gem we stumbled across! My husband and I wanted to walk the beach and we spotted this picturesque winery. Angelo was the epitome of a perfect host, describing the different wine tasting options and going into the detail of each wine with informational graphics. The 5 wine tasting at 40 euros a person is paired with a fried fish course, charcuterie and an out-of-this-world cheesecake. We usually don’t like white wines but the one white one on the tasting blew us away. This is a really great place. Let's start with access; it is straightforward to find a parking place, no stress that you will get the ticket as in Cefalu. Serwis was friendly. We have been twice. First time excellent, 2nd time they have a big stress, and we have not been served for 45 minutes, but in the end, all was good. The food is very good, I loved Sailor plate, such great raw Prawns I have never had. The fish grilled plate was perfect, and my favorite was Pistachio pasta - just excellent.
