Hotel La Rocca Sport & Benessere — Hotel in Châtillon

My dad and I spent three nights at Hotel LaRocca this July. The room was small but very well maintained and clean. Bathroom is large with shower bathtub. Good water pressure was nice. There is breakfast every morning and it was delicious. They have more continental offerings (croissants, pastries, cereal, breads) but also will make omelets and scrambled eggs. Staff have always been kind and gracious and have offered great suggestions for places to have dinner. Note - only breakfast is served at the hotel , no lunch or dinner. While we were there it was very hot in Chatillon (sunny, high 80s every day). Should be noted that this hotel does not have air-conditioning. However, that being said, we were comfortable at night with the windows open. The only "down" side is its close proximity to the Autostrada. You can hear cars driving past, however it is just moving traffic and not horns and other traffic noises. Our room faced the autostrada but the road was mainly shielded by trees. A very good experience, very clean. Nice spacious room with a balcony and a bath. Very good buffet breakfast. The downstairs pool and jacuzzi are very nice and welcome place to unwind after a long day. 1 hour free, then €5 an hour for extra time (definitely worth it). Though I recommend pre booking your time, especially in peak season. Great location, close to shops and public transport, or just a 25 minute walk to Saint Vincent. Friendly helpful staff with a special mention for Michela. Front door is locked at midnight but key cards are available from reception if you know you are going to be later. Mi stupisco sempre di quante poche recensioni siano legate all' argomento prezzo. In fondo qualsiasi valutazione non puo' essere assoluta ma andrebbe sempre espressa in base al costo sostenuto. Se un hotel mi chiede 400/500 euro a notte le mie pretese,e quindi le mie recensioni,saranno parametrate a questo. Bene,noi abbiamo soggiornato qui per tre notti ad inizio settembre,in camera doppia con balcone e prima colazione al costo di 90 euro/notte. Basandomi su questo non posso che dichiararmi piu' che soddisfatto di quanto trovato. Hotel comodo da raggiungere in quanto a circa 500 metri dal casello autostradale di Chatillon,parcheggio interno,capiente garage sotterraneo GRATUITO ( cosa non comune nemmeno in hotel molto piu' costosi) e,al limite,parcheggio esterno a 30 metri dall'hotel. La camera ha dimensioni normali per la categoria,il bagno un po' piu' grande e FINESTRATO,altra cosa non facile da trovare. Decisamente comodo il materasso e notevole il cuscino ,alto e rigido il giusto,altra chicca non sempre riscontrabile. Sono presenti un centro benessere (a pagamento) e una zona piscina interna riscaldata/vasca idromassaggio molto rilassante,liberamente usufruibile per un'ora al giorno previa prenotazione dell'orario. Soluzione intelligente per suddividere le presenze in quanto l'area non e' molto grande ma cosi' rimane confortevole. Anche l'ottima colazione e' suddivisa in tre turni tra le 7.45 e le 9.30 anche se le dimensioni della sala ed il servizio mi sono sembrati piu' che adeguati anche per affrontare un turno unico,considerando che generalmente ognuno ha i suoi orari. Detto che il personale,dalla reception al servizio colazione alle pulizie in camera l'ho trovato assolutamente adeguato ,qualcosa di meno positivo c'e' ma non inficia,a mio parere,il giudizio piu' che ottimo. Non ci sono l'aria condizionata e i frigobar in camera,per scelta aziendale a quanto ho capito. Posso dire che noi,a settembre,non abbiamo risentito di queste due mancanze,pur avendo la camera che guardava la vallata e al sole dal primo pomeriggio. Aggiungerei che,personalmente,eviterei i mesi veramente caldi come luglio e agosto,oppure mi assicurerei una camera sul retro con sole alla mattina.
