I am writing this review while still being in my Suite at Hotel Letizia. I couldn't wait to be back home to tell everybody about this fantastic experience. ||||Location: the Hotel is located in the centre of the village in a secondary road, few meters from the main road with shops, bars, etc. The Ski School headquarter is only 100mt away as well the Ski rental (next door the school). This rental offers a great service with free deposit of your ski and boots down by the Cableway that leads up to the ski runs.||||Food: woooooooooooowww! Think about a gourmet restaurant. Every day delicious meals and great choices. 4-5 choices for every main course, always with a special local recipe in the daily selection. Small selection of wine (you will not be there for wine, will you?) but enough to enjoy with the great food. ||||Service: the owner, a lovely lady, and the staff are really gentle and always available for any request. You can feel they like what they do and they do not please you just because they have to. They really like to do it. very smiling people.||||Rooms: we had a junior suite where we could accommodate our family (parents + 3 kids). Large beds (a bit hard in the first days) but I never woked up with any stress or pain in my back. After a long tiring skiing day is probably the most important thing you look for. Pretty big balcony with great views over the spectacular cliffs and the entire valley.||||Kids: if you are travelling with kids, feel comfortable to book a room at Hotel Letizia. The rate includes a great service called Family Fun. They take the kids at 9 in the morning, they bring them to the ski lessons and return the kids at 1 pm. If you like to ski longer, they can host kids for lunch and do afternoon activities in the sport palace. The hotel itself has a nice area where kids can play indoor and offers a nice snack time at 16.30 where you can get cakes and other sweets while returning from skiing.||||Wellness: the hotel has a great wellness area with has a gym area (too tired to experience) 2 jacuzzi, a sauna, a roman bath, a nice hamman and a shower where you can get a special rainshower with fragrances that reminds you a tropical rain or a pine forest. The perfect place where relax you tired muscles.||||Internet: free wifi everywhere.||||My family and I had a fantastic week and surely will be back next year or even earlier for our...
Read moreWe are just back from one of the most amazing winter resorts in the Dolomites, UNESCO world heritage: San Martino di Castrozza.||This was our second time there and I decided to choose a different hotel, as the one we had been to a couple of years ago did not make an offer that could meet our expectations. Our choice went to Hotel Letizia, recommended by some fellow hikers for the warm welcome and excellent food.||From the very first contact, I realized my choice was the good one: kind approach, quick reply and even a room upgrade given lower season.||This was only the beginning: during our stay with some friends and their children the staff was always flawless, patient and extremely kind having quick answers to all our requests.||The hotel is spotless: imagine that the room maids would clean up the room while the guests are having breakfast, so everything is nice and tidy even before you leave the hotel in the morning!||The communal areas like kid’s area, ski closets, lobby and bar are equally nice and clean. A small spa can offer a moment of peace and relax.||But what stroke us more all over our week was the restaurant: breakfast offer a great choice of options with even a honey bar and a section of superfoods for those who cannot eat the fantastic cakes available to all. A real chef concocts fine meals every day and you can make your choice among five different options per course and an extensive desserts’ menu. An asterisk indicates regional dishes and a perfect wine list allows you to have the perfect meal in a friendly atmosphere, sometimes made more romantic by candle lit dinners.||I strongly recommend Hotel Letizia especially if you care about what you eat and you are travelling...
Read moreIt is difficult to find fault with Hotel Letizia. ||This is coming from a normally critical guest travelling with a family of 5. ||||Nestled in the town of San Martino di Castrozza, with no shortage of spectacular views and competing hotels, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else. ||||The wonderful owner, her daughter and the many other personnel have created an inviting atmosphere and set the bar for hospitality, quality, service, cleanliness and a kitchen rich in variety and flavors. It is rare to find a hotel which scores so high in every area.||||Travelling with small children can create a challenge depending on the hotel. That was no obstacle at Hotel Letizia. The Jr. Suite accomodated us all very comfortably. The in-hotel activities geared towards youngsters and positioning of the hotel within the town created the perfect environment. ||||We had a short stay of only 3 days and thanks to the informative advice of staff on all logistical matters related to skiing and options for children, we were able to take advantage of the ski lifts, half day excursions organized by the hotel, kids activities, etc! ||||We are happy to have found a new place to return to year after year.||Thank you Hotel Letizia for a...
