First of all, the hotel is easy to reach and it is literally central. The cable car that takes you up to the slopes is just minutes away by walk! In over 30 seconds walk there is the local supermarket, it is also full of restaurants ,and for the night owls and cocktails lovers you can find some great bars and pubs really close by. Our welcoming was professional and friendly, the room was in pristine conditions, and the view was breathtaking! They have a ski deposit in the premises where you can securely and comfortably leave your ski gear before heading up to your room. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable: we asked where we could go for dinner to Thomas, at the reception, and he promptly guided us through a couple of choices and even booked us a table (we had a smashing time in the restaurant and it was delicious)! The breakfast was a good size buffet, enough to fill your belly before a long day on the slopes. The waitress was professional and kind but most importantly she had a good attention to details (we come from the same industry, so we look at all those tiny things). The housekeeping staff 10/10, they deserve a mention for keeping up with two messy people like us! The hall is cozy, with a lovely fireplace that made me want to skip a day on the slopes to stop there and read a book! Finally, the owners are the real deal, and go to every extent to make you feel at home and as comfortable as you can be! You can expect great banter too! Good value for money....
Read moreHere is the deal, this hotel is very basic. If you are a hardcore skier and spend your time entirely on the slopes and don’t care where you sleep- this place could be for you as it’s right next to the ski lift. |Room is small and very basic, bedsheet is simply a flat sheet over a duvet cover, so you are touching the same cover that 100 other guests are using (would be very easy to just get a fitted duvet cover for cleanliness), shower has great pressure but it’s a stand up with very little space to move around, hotel charges us 12€ a night for parking (there is a free parking lot you can find, a little walk but worth it when your staying for a week or so) breakfast was VERY basic (you probably want to bring your own coffee as it’s definitely instant) but they cook you fresh eggs every morning and they are friendly. Sauna is available onsite but only for a charge of €15 per person , per use.||Unfortunately wasn’t worth the money, it’s is overpriced for what it is during the...
Read moreA beautiful hidden gem! Couldn't ask for more for our stay in courmayeur.
Rooms are cozy and warm, comfortable beds and good showers (though a bit small). Location is peak, right by the main gondola to head up the mountain, and close enough to the pedestrian walkway for restaurants and shops.
The true highlight is the breakfast and service. All the staff was incredibly accommodating, the breakfast was just what you needed for a day of skiing, croissants were to die for and the coffee was probably the best we drank in courmayeur. The breakfast staff was so attentive to detail that from the 2nd morning, they knew our preferences and had our table set up and waiting for us based on our drink of choice.
Truly outstanding, I would highly recommend and will definitely come again.
The only thing we didn't get to experience was the sauna, which was out of order, but I'm sure it...
