Residence Spiaggia d'Oro Desenzano del Garda — Hotel in Desenzano del Garda

We've arrived to Garda lake at 9pm, only to find the residence we've ordered in advance was inadequate. After a short search in Trip Advisor, we decided to check out Spiaggia d'Oro hotel. Not many places will accept you so late at night, with no pre-order. But Omar, the owner, and Camrul, the night manager took us in with care and compassion. We've spent the week in this great hotel and found it perfect in all aspects. ||* Security: All regions of the hotel are locked and accessed by keypad - this includes the main gate, parking and front doors. There's a closed-circuit camera system which further protects the guests. ||* Maintenance - The place is maintained just perfectly. I've visited a number of 5+ star hotels which have been maintained less than this one. I haven't encountered a broken handle, a rusty faucet or a non-functional light all throughout our stay.||* Rooms - For a family of four, the room was perfect for our needs. The kitchen had a microwave, stove, oven, refrigirator, sink, a full set of dishes and cutlery, pots and pans, air vent and even a place for washed dishes. They even had a washing machine in the room! The design was very pleasent, the beds were comfortable, and all rooms had a huge balcony with an extra dining table facing the pool. Though the TV screens were a little small, they had HDMI input which allowed us to stream movies from our laptop. The bathroom had a toilet, a bide, a standing shower and sink. It was spacious, and as said before - very well maintained. There was Wifi available in every room - with a router on each floor for best availability.||* Pool - The pool was big and very clean. Much of the pool space was low-water so the kids could play there safely. Plenty of pool beds around the pool allowed all the guests to sit easily. There was grass all around with a playing area for kids, and even floaties. Garden apartments had immediate access to the pool out of their porch. ||* Service - Not less than perfect. Omar the owner and Camrul the night manager were always helpful and nice. They helped with matters concerning the stay, as well as recommended trips and attractions. They were always available and Omar also gave us his private phone number to call at all times. It was apparent how Omar cares about his hotel, with detailed signs everywhere, careful design and maintenance.||* Location - a couple of minutes walk from the beach, and we got free umbrellas from the hotel. 5 min drive from the port of Desenzano, 25 min from Gradaland. Lots of great restaurants in the area (best was Rossi&Rossi), Penny market next to the hotel and a gas station across the street. ||I highly recommend the place for anyone travelling...

We booked these 3 apartment because we were attending a football tournament at the stadium behind and for us it was a great base. 20 minute walk into the main town area, but close to the Lake and a lovely leisurely walk. Slightly quicker if you used the road and the bus stop was 50 metres away.|The rooms are very spacious Ground, 1st and 2nd floors with a lift only and we were shown to our apartment by Omar the Manager who was a really nice person-and did everything he could to make our stay a good one. Any problems and he sorted them out very quickly. |Rooms have a large Double Balcony and room for all 6 of us to sit and have a drink or eat together.|The living room had all the facilities and equipment needed and washing up liquid, tea towel and sponge were provided, so you didn’t have to buy them. Toaster, Kettle Micowave, fridge, TV etc.|The bathroom very spacious with shower and soap, plenty of towels supplied and changed daily and toiletries also supplied. Hairdryer supplied|A large bedroom, with a super king bed, plus 2 bunk beds ( great for a family) and loads of wardrobe and cupboard space including a free safe deposit box|Outside a great pool area, sunbeds and umbrellas. Toys for younger children a shaded areawith comfortable chairs, free pool table, free table tennis table and only 50 cents for bar football. Reception area had vending machines and outside free bicycles for age ranges were available.|Good security with coded entry to both the complex and the front entrance. Parking also available. Next door a nice cheap Supermarket, couple of restaurants within 2 minutes walk.|All in all these apartments were great for us and we had a great time. Thank you Omar for welcoming us and...
