We stayed for one night on our motorbike tour before heading for the Grand St Bernard pass. ||The owner's communication was excellent & met us at the property to direct us round the rear to the barrier controlled parking area which was €10 for one space for our two bikes. We felt the area was safe & were not concerned about the bikes overnight as the carpark was floodlit & we could also see them from the apartment.||We were in the blue themed apartment which was just perfect for our needs, had a large comfortable bed, fantastic well needed air con & a good clean bathroom. ||We bought picnic food & some sausages from a local supermarket for our evening meal & the basic kitchen with a fridge & small oven meant I was able to cook some bruscetta & the sausages. ||A kettle & tea/coffee/infusions were provided for breakfast along with a couple of brioche choc buns. I am gluten intolerant so hubby enjoyed twice the treats!||We overlooked the carpark & apartments opposite & one of the neighbours opposite was holding some kind of 10pm mass for himself which was noisy while we had the bathroom window open to dry some laundry & echoed for a while but the aircon unit & shutting the window drowned it out then it was remarkably quiet for a place just 10 mins from the busy Domodossola.||Great value, just the ticket & we would definitely stay again.||On another note there were a couple of young Canadian lads on a walking tour who turned up with no booking just as we arrived. They asked the price then went off to see if they could get anywhere cheaper (no idea why as this place is super great value!). On our return from the supermarket they had come back to book a room, but the owner had gone. I messaged him to say the lads wanted to book a room & he was back to help them within 10-15 minutes - so kind &...
Read moreWe absolutely loved our ground floor apartment, booked Thursday to Monday in August 2019. We are a family of 4, with grown up kids, and had a twin and double room, great bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin and bidet, and a really well equipped kitchen area, opening out into a comfy lounge with sofa and tv, and with a dining table and chairs. The owner contacted us via What’s App, sent us a map to find the accommodation (only 3 or 4 minutes walk from the station in a quiet side road) and kept in touch to make sure he was there to greet us. The apartment is new and spotlessly clean and has everything you’ll need, complete with coffee and tea, washing up liquid and bin liners (and some welcome croissants - a really nice touch). Bedding and towels were included and we even had fresh towels after 2 days which was unexpected but welcome. The owner dropped us in a 2nd key, on request and was generally welcoming and accommodating, providing local tourism leaflets and advised we’d get a special deal at La Posta restaurant just around the corner. Town centre and restaurants are a short walk and we’d thoroughly recommend this accommodation for an enjoyable stay and great nights’ sleep in Domodossola. Thanks very much for a...
