We stayed at La Favorita Hotel in Cala Gonone for 3 nights. Overall, our stay was pleasant. Our room was spacious, clean, and equipped for guests with reduced mobility, which meant that the bathroom sink and mirror were lower than standard—this was the only minor inconvenience for us. The mattress was very comfortable, and the room was generally quiet (not in early morning though). We had booked our stay with breakfast included, and it was definitely worth it. There was a good variety each morning, including fresh fruits, tasty scrambled eggs, and other options. Paid parking is available just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel restaurant was disappointing. We went there for dinner and ended up waiting nearly 2 hours for our food. I had pasta, and my husband ordered grilled fish. After 1.5 hours, the waiter acted surprised when he realized that my husband and I hadn’t been served yet. Other tables experienced the same delays, and we noticed that some guests who appeared to know the staff were served much faster. When the food finally arrived, the fish was undercooked, and the pasta was average at best—overall, overpriced and not worth the hype. One last note: the AC in the room didn’t work consistently. It would stop on its own, making the room either too cold or not cool enough. Despite the restaurant experience, the hotel itself is well located and comfortable for a short stay, especially if you’re looking for easy access to the beach and local attractions.

We had a really wonderful stay here in late May. We stayed in the junior suite with balcony. The bed was large and comfortable, AC worked perfectly, blackout shades were great, and the entire experience staying was really nice. The staff were super kind and the place was basically empty when we were there. Based on the reviews we had concerns about loud music at night but that wasn’t an issue when we were there at all. The breakfast was also pretty good! I wasn’t that impressed by the pizzas at the restaurant (probably 3.5 stars), but the view from the water upgraded the experience to 4 stars or more. Overall we were very happy with our stay at the hotel and would recommend others to definitely stay there. Super friendly people working there as well, thank you for being so great to us during our stay! Oh, and great cocktails at sunset!!!!

Forget an anonymous hotel. Staying at La Favorita in Cala Gonone is like staying with family, in the holiday home of your childhood. Antonio, the patriarch, has the elegance and wisdom of the old Sardinian sages, who have stories to tell with a cold myrtle. Giovanni, his son, will win you over with a smile. Our room at the end of the world, blue like a boat cabin, overlooked the full moons of Cala Gonone. And the dawns, bright like certain mornings of our adolescence. In the evening, mamma Ivana prepared us freshly caught fish and pineapple, sliced thin, not even Briatore in Kenya. And then the heartbreaking kindness of Sabrina among the tired tables at the end of the evening. Go to the La Favorita hotel if you want to breathe in Sardinia as if you were welcomed by distant cousins who, in the end, you will find brothers.

We were walking through the street full of restaurants and chose to sit in this restaurant. We wanted to sit on the terrace by the sea to enjoy the view, but it was full. The waitress told us to sit on a table next to the entrance until a table will be free. After over an hour, a table was free. We moved to the terrace and we were given the worst table. It was not by the sea. Another 2 people were given the nice table by the sea and they came like 30 min after us. The excuse of the waitress was that they are staying in the hotel. Well, this is not our problem. We were waiting for over an hour, and they were waiting for 30 min. This is absolutely a big disappointment for us. The waitress told us that the owner made them sit on the nice table. I asked her to call the owner. She refused. This is absolutely her mistake. Never going there again. I gave 2 stars just for the nice location. Even our drinks weren’t that good. It’s the least good Aperol spritz I had in Cala gonone. My advice for this place is also to hire more people to work. It’s absolutely busy with just 1 waitress to serve...

We have one more night here, but have already stayed a couple. I've seen enough for a review.||This hotel couldn't be in a better location, literally opposite the beach, on the main strip of restaurants & bars. ||We booked a seaview room, and seaview we got. The noise below can be annoying for some, but it's fine for us.There is no elevator to the room, but the staff were very gracious to take our luggage for us. There is a parking lot up the road for 8 euro a day, or try to find a park int he surrounding streets. ||The rooms look recently renovated, and are/have been extremely clean. ||I find it strange that there is no TV in the room, and no phones to contact reception. ||The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is relatively well sized.||The shower has to be the smallest I've ever encountered - absolutely tiny and frustrating. ||Breakfast is good with a wide selection of breads, pastries, cheeses and meats. ||If it wasn't for the size of the shower,...
