We stayed in this hotel for the whole week we were in italy and I'm so glad to have found this lovely hotel.
If you're picky something to keep in mind, it is Low cost - just a simple but charming room - a very basic bed/night stand/toilet room and towels. Bring your own shampoo and toiletries, and enough clothes for your whole stay unless you want to walk to a laundry service place
only about 5km from the airport, so the airplanes are very loud around landing and departure. This did not bother us, but it's something to be aware of if this would be an issue for you or not.
Except for these two potential minor issues, and they are very much positively outweighed by how pleasant the overall experience was, you should definitely stay here.
La Maison Jolie is located in a calm and quiet neighborhood and is close to several nice food options, a couple of small supermarkets, 5 to 10 minutes walk to the bus, 30-40 minutes walk to the beach
Now, about the hotel itself, it has a cheery and colorful vibe and has spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and I appreciate them and their assistance greatly. Also the free cappuccino machine 8am to 11am every day is lovely 🤩
I don't know when or if I will come back to Italy anytime soon but I definitely recommend this hotel to any and all who want a simple and pleasant stay on their next trip to Fiumicino, Rome, or anywhere in Central Italy.

Read moreWe stayed here as a jumping off point for an early morning international flight out of Italy. We arrived after a long overland trip by train and bus, and were in need of some refreshment, a shower and sleep.||The hotel was quite comfortable although the room showed some signs of mould and the grout in the shower was dirty. A lift was available to access upper floors.||Our main complaint regards refreshment. There was no catering available at the hotel. We were directed to a pleasant restaurant nearby. We like to make a cup of tea or coffee in our room. There was no electric kettle, nor was there any cups or cutlery. I approached reception to ask for some cups, but this was refused but I was offered some disposable plastic cups. There was no milk, tea or coffee provided in the room and milk was unavailable at reception ( but we had some teabags and chocolate sachets in our luggage), and when we attempted to use the cooktop in the kitchenette all of the power shut down in the bedsit. I reported to reception and was advised that this was because I had not paid the surcharge for cooker use. I note here that the power had to be manually restored, and because reception closed at midnight a traveller might easily have no light or heating/cooling if the cooker was used after a...
Read moreI give two stars because I found it strange that a hotel that expects international residents does not have television in ENGLISH ..or any other language for that matter. All tv channels were in Italian. I am American and my friend is Greek- we both speak fluent English and no Italian so to stay at a hotel and not be able to watch tv while we are in our room is absolutely ridiculous. We tried to convert the subtitle to “English “ but it did not work at all. No internet in our hotel room either. We had to initially step out of our room, go to the office to connect. This turned out to be such an inconvenience, as it was in November and very, very cold. Pretty lousy in my opinion. Another thing, the bed had a strange object in it that looked like either a ball of ear wax, some stale piece of food , or a booger and the shower ran out of hot water after a short time in it. I was totally turned off by all of that and just wanted to check out already. Not the best, but it was the only thing we could afford due to missing our flight and needing something cheap and close to the airport for a day. 2 Stars - 1 for the breakfast and bus shuttle they provide and 1 for friendly staff. Wouldn’t go there...
