We stayed at the Duchess for 3 nights at the end of September and didn't want to leave!||From the instant we met Luca he made us feel more than welcome into his home and you immediately knew that you were going to have a great stay.||We arrived late afternoon and were given coffee and malba toast topped with homemade jam which was fantastic. Having only just arrived we asked Luca where we could eat and by the time we'd discussed some of the local restaurants he'd offered to take us to a great traditional Italian where we were treated like old friends. Needless to say we've given the restaurant its own review but if you want to experience real Italian cooking then you need to visit www.pizzeriafiorella.com, you won't be disappointed! ||||Our room was excellent with a huge bathroom and you could really appreciate all the design aspects of the whole house. ||||This is a great base to visit Florence and the surrounding areas and although we didn't have a car Luca was kind enough to print all the local bus routes and highlighted on a map all the great places to see in the city. It cost around €2 each to get into the centre and the bus stop was only 100 metres away with services running about every 20min.||||Breakfast in the morning was incredible with fresh homemade cakes, fruits, yogurts and a choice of cooked breakfast all served either by Luca or his assistant Mario who in Luca's absence continued the superb level of service.||||This was a truly great place to stay and we only wished we could of stayed longer but we had to continue our trip further south to Rome. I genuinly couldn't imagine wanting to stop anywhere else in Florence and the combination of such a high class boutique B&B and the amazing service from Luca and his team meant that you didn't want to leave.||||We plan to return to this fantastic place next year and we...

Read moreThis B&B combines the style and elegance of a 5* hotel, with the charm and 'insider knowledge' of your own personal guide to Florence. ||||My husband and I booked four nights here as we wanted to experience Florence and the surrounding area in a relaxed manor with good food and wine being of importance to us. ||||The Duchess has beautifully decorated stylish rooms, modern facilities and immaculate detail to cleanliness and food. We had a car, so private secure parking was great. The room was spacious, with large double bed, wardrobe, air conditioning, views of the garden, wonderful soft fluffy towels, deliciously scented toiletries, hair dryer etc. We also had fresh flowers in our room every day, crisp white bed linen, fresh plums, bottled water and wifi.||||The breakfast room is like a stunning boutique restaurant and luca and his staff treated us like VIPs. ||||The owner Luca made our trip truly amazing. He has vast experience of the area, knew exactly what we would like, and every recommendation was absolutely incredible. Luca knows what 'great' food is - and the restaurants he suggested were breathtaking, authentic, italian cooking at its best. Mostly away from the tourist spots but still central and in quaint side streets.||||Thank-you Luca for an amazing experience of 'true' Italy, we'll definitely be back and will be telling all our friends about...
