It’s hard to imagine a more peaceful, naturally beautiful place. Waking up here was a dream. #mezzatorrehotel #ischia #luxuryhotel #italytravel

I had an amazing stay at Mezzatorre, truly one of the most scenic places I’ve ever visited. The gardens are absolutely stunning, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers everywhere you look. The sea views are simply breathtaking, no matter where you are on the property, you’re surrounded by nature, trees, and the most beautiful landscapes. It’s peaceful, spectacular, and feels like a true escape. The food was excellent throughout my stay, and what stood out the most was the exceptional service. Every single member of the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, it’s genuinely the hotel’s greatest strength. I felt so well cared for, and I especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture they made for my birthday. Thank you for making it special! The spa and gym facilities were also great well maintained and relaxing. I do wish there had been yoga blocks available in the studio (and maybe some elastic straps), as that would really enhance the practice. Perhaps they were available and I just didn’t ask. The only things I’d love to see improved is a wider selection on the poolside menu just a few more options would be perfect, a wider food selection at breakfast (specifically meat for non pork eaters) ; and I do wish the rooms were bigger. That said, I absolutely recommend this hotel. It’s a beautiful, serene place with amazing staff and thoughtful touches that make the stay truly memorable.

The pictures will never do this place justice. This was the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Napoli Gulf. It is quiet and off the beaten path of all the tourists. Mezzatorre was spectacular. The staff here were second to none and they all seemed genuinely happy to be there and happy to have you. They could not have been nicer and more accommodative and take Mezzatorre to the next level. I highly recommend visiting, the food was amazing! We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and it was all delicious. The staff was perfect, friendly, and welcoming. The views feel surreal. We will be back for sure and plan on staying longer and enjoying some of their specific experiences curated by the hotel. If this is your first time make sure you try the thermal spa, it is included with your stay. Just make a reservation- you are there for about an hour, and just ask the person managing the spa how to experience each pool. Thank you Mezzatorre for the experience and we can’t wait to be back soon!

Horrible customer service - Daniele and Louisa were so rude. They do not allow non hotel guests to book spa treatments or restaurant reservations. I’ve never heard of such a thing. Southern Italy is known for its welcoming hospitality and they did not meet those expectations. Do not stay here!!!

UPDATE, this was their email response to my review:

Dear Madam,

I am writing to you with reference to the review which you posted on Google on 5 June last on the Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal SPA in my quality as lawyer of the Hotel.

In this regard, having carefully examined the correspondence you exchanged with the SPA attendant and the Hotel’s General Manager, the statements contained in the aforementioned review are clearly untrue and offensive.

First of all, the replies to your request to book a treatment in the SPA and a lunch at the Hotel restaurant in late August were formulated with the courtesy and kindness that distinguish the Hotel’s communications with customers. Indeed, such replies indicated, in a clear and courteous manner, the reasons why, according to the Mezzatorre's policy in high season, such a request, unfortunately, could not be met: consequently, it is false and defamatory to assert, as you did in the review, that the Hotel’s customer service was “horrible” and their replies were “rude”.

Equally defamatory and inappropriate is your recommendation not to stay at the Hotel: in fact, since you have never been a guest of the Mezzatorre, you are not in a position to assess the quality of the services offered by the same, whose outstanding reputation is recognised worldwide.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that your review - based on a false representation of your contacts with the Hotel and containing seriously defamatory and gratuitous statements about both the Hotel itself and the individuals with whom you have been in correspondence - offends against the dignity and reputation of the Mezzatorre and the mentioned individuals and is thus unlawful: please be aware that such behaviour constitutes a criminal offence, i.e., defamation - moreover, aggravated since your review, having been posted on the web, is capable of reaching an indeterminate number of persons and therefore cause very serious damage to the Hotel.

In light of the foregoing, I formally request you, on behalf of the Hotel, to remove the review immediately. Please be informed that Mezzatorre will take all possible action to have the defamatory nature of your review established and claim compensation for the for the unfair prejudice caused to their reputation by your...

Bitter sweet 4 star stay|I will start with the sweet part of our stay. The property is still as beautiful as ever, grounds are immaculate, food and restaurants are great, Swimming Pool and beach club area are also very well taken care of. |Food and restaurants I would give a 5 star with reservation. Staff is very attentive , smiling and very helpful. Food at both the restaurants was also very good.|Room and grounds also get a five star.|Beach area and the pool area will also be a 5 star|Thalasso and Terme area get a 5 star|Now the bitter part of stay started with delayed baggage , granted it was no fault of the hotel. When I called the hotel from the airport informing the delayed baggage, the response from the other end was shocking . She right away asked me where were we going after this hotel implying that we will not going get the luggage during our stay.|The luggage came late at night and since the property is on an island there there is no easy way to get the luggage. This is not the first time someone had a delayed baggage and won’t be the last either. What is shocking is after years Hotel does not have a system in place to help tourists like me and my wife with their luggage. I was more than willing to pay for someone or a company to go and get my luggage.Contacting the manager was waste of time also.|I spent 6 hours , 4 taxis and 2 ferries to go and get my luggage from the airport |At the time of check out things were not any better. Asked for a late check , after 2 days we are still waiting for a response. The hotel gladly displays part of LHW logo but fails to provide the perks that are supposed to be provided for.|I was shocked when the Transfer sent by the hotel for our arrival asked me to pay the fare.|Paying over 2200 euros per night and not even a complimentary sun screen at the pool/ beach area.|Value for your money the hotel fails miserably. Nickel and diming in not expected in a 5 star property.|GM during a busy time of the year is no where to be seen . There is no personal touch from the...

We came here on our honeymoon and I admit, given the special occasion and the price of the hotel, my expectations were high. However they were sadly not met at all. It started with the room. We booked a sea view deluxe, but there was a very obstructed sea view. Basically it was mostly roof (see photo). Ok, but at least there was a terrace which was a consolation. That was the best we got. Every day we had to fight other guests for seats at the water (beach chairs were weirdly super limited despite the fact that Mezzatore has the whole bay). We couldn’t get a seat for a simple cocktail because it was too full (there is plenty of space but no tables). We wanted to use the thermal baths but had to reserve a chance to use the free baths because it was too busy. Hilariously, we had priority late check out but couldn’t get it (no surprise) and they offered to make us a reservation for the showers (the showers required a reservation.. LOL). It’s confusing for me how this is a 5 star hotel but I literally had to stress myself out to just get a chance to enjoy the amenities. Lastly, the communication with the staff was abysmal. If you asked them to call you a taxi in advance there was a 50/50 chance it would arrive. We never successfully managed to get extra towels at the beach ever (maybe they ran out, I wouldn’t be surprised). We would call and ask what time things closed and would just get blatantly wrong answers. It was a bit of a disaster. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel in high season. Maybe in calmer months it’s better. But right now, it’s over crowded and understaffed. I sense it got over hyped and they just couldn’t keep up with demand. It would be better if they had less rooms for more and actually were attentive to...
