Residenza Mordini — Hotel in La Maddalena

We stayed in Residenza Mordini 4 nights and they were the highlight of our trip. Residenza Mordini is run by an amazing, caring and sweet family that made us feel like home every minute of our stay. Breakfast, which included home made pies and sweets as well as a la cartè items, was fantastic. We were so excited to wake up in the morning only to go downstairs and enjoy those wonderful treats. Rooms are very clean and they are renovated. They also have a lovely patio area, next to the pool, where we enjoyed reading and relaxing. My favorite thing by far was Giuseppe, the owner of the hotel, and his dog. He was there every morning to greet all guests. I enjoyed so much engaging in conversations with him. He told me about the story of Maddalena as well as the history of the Residenza. I really enjoyed sitting in the terrace and talking with him. We really felt like home. Located almost in the heart of La Maddalena there is the place that is magical. A rather small but cosy boutique hotel offers everything you need when staying on the island. The moment you enter you can feel the Sardinian climate and the beauty of Italian designs and details. The service is spectacular, with easy grace they offer attention and help with anything you ask for. The apartment was beautifully decorated and filled with all necessities. There is a jacuzzi and a swimming pool if you want to unwind but the beaches are within an easy reach too. If you feel like eating in, the breakfast is fulfilling and nutritious. Residenza Mordini was perfect for our stay in La Maddalena. As we had a car it was ideal as there is plenty of secure parking available & the location of the hotel is just a few minutes walk into the old town. The hotel hosts were delightful & had suggestions of what to do while visiting as well as recommending several restaurants for our 2 night stay - both were great & walking distance from the hotel. For seafood, Perla Blu with a view over the harbour & for amazing pizza, I Capatosta. We enjoyed the swimming pool one afternoon & the pastries & coffee for breakfast were great.
