Bar Milano — Restaurant in La Maddalena

Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. We stopped for a drink before the movie, and the bar was almost deserted, despite the time (8:45 PM). We ordered a Schweppes and a Gin Fizz, but the latter was practically without any gin; you could barely smell it. The girl who served us seemed to be new to the job, maybe we were her first customers ever, but the main issue was the management. For a total of 13 euros, we were only served the drinks, without any kind of accompaniment. No chips, olives, peanuts... absolutely nothing. I understand the place was empty, but a minimum level of attention to the customer, especially for a tourist passing through, would be essential.

This kind of service gives the impression that the bar doesn't care about the customer, seeing them as a tourist to be "fleeced" rather than a potential source of revenue and a returning client.

I hope Bar Milano can improve in this regard. A little more attention and care for details would make all the difference and would make the experience...

We visited a few bars on our day trip on the ferry across to La Maddalena and if I was asked to pick a favourite I'd probably say this was it, maybe. Not that we visited a bad one in the town but this was sooo relaxed and had a great ambience and I have to say of the four or five bars that we visited this served a great local white wine; dry but still fruity bursting with flavour and very aromatic and at only 4 euros it didn't break the back.

We sat in the covered area at the front overlooking the square with the harbour next to it. A relaxing place to sit and to people watch. Our drinks were served with a smile.

I rarely write bad reviews, here i have to. Its a nice bar at the port but with extremely rude and unfriendly staff. The only unfriendly treatment on this beautyfull island. We wanted wo watch a football match and ordered severall drinks. Always unfriendly responses and we feeled were unwelcome. 10 Minutes before the match was over, they just changed the TVs to a Tennis game. We payed the bill and they even refused to say goodbye to me back. I recommend to go to...
