Camping Lido — Hotel in Lazise

Unfortunately we we’re caught by the storm last week. Everything we had was ruined. Car, caravan, tent all. Nobody from the entire staff asked to anybody how there doing. If people needed help. The next day they made a form available at the reception for your insurance that there indeed has bin a very bad storm with hail.

That’s it and they did business as usual.

We left earlier, on check in i give my credit card for the payment. And we were giving acces to the camping. On day off departure I asked to one of the employees if I can have a later checkout. That was not a problem, he give me a yellow paper with a 14:00 noted.

On time we drove off, once on the highway I geth a call from the camping. A very angry employee directly start yelling that i left the camping without payment. I try to explain that that is not the case and that I need to come back directly. I said I can’t iam on the motorway, went true the tollbooth can’t make a u-turn.

They guy said now your just left you still ik Lazise you’re did this on purpose. And said he’s going to call the police. Still it was not possible to talk to him. He keeps yelling and accusing us off leaving without payment.

After I yelled back at the guy Luuk the Dutch guy was giving the phone. He was calm and I told him i have checked in with my creditcard. He said they made a mistake on check-in. I told him I was on the highway and couldn’t be able to be back. Luckily my father was still in Lazise and he went there and made the payment in my name. And everybody was calmed. They even Threatened to kick the family ( people) we know from our old spot. If we hadn’t made the payment within 15 minutes.

After driving for an hour I still didn’t understand how i was able to check-in without paying the balance.

So I called the camping, the employee Luuk answered the phone. I asked him how this was possible. He said that there must have been a mistake on check-in. So I believed him, made a complain about his aggressive colleague and that was the end.

24 hours later now we’re home. Logged on my creditcard account, and you would believe they charged my creditcard on check-in.

Calling them now 11 times. Nobody answers.

This is lido service after being a guest on there camping for 15 years.

Never ever again. Lido you all about making money. No service 0 stars

Honestly, I do not know where to start! Vacation was in September 2021. But I'll try to keep it short. Arrival: With a T6 with 4 adults and 1 child. Have rented a house with view for 1 week. View? What View den, because of trees you see nothing! Parking in front of the cottage? No no no that would be too easy, we had to carry everything! Beautiful 200m back and forth. Since I thought to myself that starts well. We had to wait extra longer because the cottage still had to be cleaned, what can I say it was still dirty! And the beds have it already behind them. With each turn I thought the legs break off! Camping place itself beautiful with mega view but the pictures on Instagram and everywhere to see are not true! the jetty is falling apart and the access to the lake is also dirty full of ducks .... and everything full of algae, care leaves greetings but the filter does it already! Then it started, our car is wrong, their parking lot is there but there I could not park the bus because the driveway and the parking lot were too small and I did not get around. From now on you have to say the people were immediately stroppy after they have received the money! I was suddenly told if I come with such a big car I have to register! Then I was assigned a parking space. The next day I had to move the then because the next shift was of a different opinion and so it went every day until the last day! More than annoying! The staff is unfriendly and there are only problems and no solutions! After you have paid you get no help and it is also not helped. We give a 1 star because the restaurant is just to praise! Simply delicious! Our conclusion: The cottages are too expensive for the equipment and service. Swimming is only possible in the pool. Service is just grotto bad! Access to the houses is also bad, the corridors between the houses are so narrow that you can hardly get through with the travel bag, everything is designed for profit. We will definitely not come back and will not...

We spent 4 nights in this place just yesterday. We've been traveling around Europe for 6 weeks now. This campsite is no way worth 5* sorry. I've seen cleaner sanitary in 3* campsite when I say clean I mean spot on, comparing to this one. The sanitary needs to be clean really regularly with all this amount of people. ITS A VERY BUSY CAMPSITE. Its not maintained as its should be I'm afraid. The pitches are all cramped beside each other. It almost feels like a factory to get more money out of the site. To park your car beside your van... well good luck and make sure you squeeze really well. Pitches are sand and not maintained.... 🤦🏻‍♀️ it rained while we were there so you can imagine the state of it. Reception felt like a robotic welcome my husband was shocked.

Its a noisy campsite, between the activities during the day or night. So If you are light sleeper... forget about it. Between all the Dutch putting loud music across your pitch and the animation team entertaining the crowd. I'm not sure which one is worst.

Its a massive campsite so get your bike or scooter with you. Oh dont get me started on the electricity scooters 🤦🏻‍♀️ kids riding like mad on that hill going. Honestly I'm surprised there hasn't been any serious accident? Its insane!

The access to lake Garda is nice but I was not impressed. Overrated that area. We've seen more beautiful landscapes than this one. Also when you book for a child above 7 years old its considered as a ADULT 🤦🏻‍♀️🤡 There is supermarket inside the campsite also that helps for some shopping.

The only 2 positive outcome from it the Pool ( our kids absolutely loved it)and the restaurant ( accessible price & lovely staff). If you have kids and want some free time for yourself... well you are in the right campsite HUGE amount of activities that you wont be able to see your kids if you want. Most definitely not a place for us but...
