In a city where you can stay at another property for a fraction of the price and it would be better, or equivalent value, I would stay somewhere else.||||Property is pretty - garden, art, and furniture.||||Quality||- The actual rooms, bed/bedding, towels, etc. for the price is not worth it. Bedding was super cheap. Showers didn’t drain well. Blinds didn’t fully close. Not 5-star hotel quality at all.||- We paid $500+ a night (for the worst room on the property - blinds didn’t close, close to entrance / main building where many enter).||||Poor service:||- We asked for water to make tea and they told us to get it from the bathroom sink in our room lol.||- The restaurant experience was terrible - if you’re going to try and serve a unique dining experience you need servers who can “sell” the menu and the experience. They were nice but just really green. Didn’t explain anything on the menu (i.e this pasta is served cold, vs most pasta dishes that are served warm for a main dinner dish). Continually tried to push 50euro per glass of wine (even after saying we didn’t want wine).||- Servers in the morning were lovely and the breakfast was a really nice buffet, probably the only thing worth your money, but if you’re like us, we don’t eat breakfast. We felt we had to try though just to justify our payment for the hotel.||- The worst part is that we found and killed multiple spiders in our room. My boyfriend was mauled by spiders in our room at night. He woke up with at least 6 spider bites. We asked for something from first-aid. They gave him a spray to use and then told him they needed it back for emergencies! This was an emergency. They should have went to the pharmacy for him. We thought maybe just we were unlucky, but friends of ours stayed in an even more expensive suite and found ants all collected under a towel in the corner of their bathroom.||||Staff was nice but just didn’t know how to deliver a truly 5-star hotel experience, and we’ve had experience at other 5-star hotels. Save your money and...
Read moreLook at the management responses to criticisms of this hotel and that tells you everything you need to know. The responses are entitled and condescending and it's always the guest's fault. Welcome to La Fiermontina.||As others have mentioned, the breakfast people are delightful. Perhaps they should run this hotel. Instead it's run by a wealthy Italian family as their pet project, but frankly feels more like an expensive guest house where the guests are a bother once they have provided their credit cards.||This is not a 5-star experience, from the bedding to the towels to the cheap soaps in the bathroom. The expectations are set by the pricing and if this hotel were less expensive I would have no problem giving them a higher review, but they are charging 5-star rates for 2-star service.||Their photos online are very deceptive. The rooms look huge, and they market a very basic small room as a "junior suite" which overlooks the entry area and hallway. I think if they were more realistic in how they portray and describe the rooms it would lead to less guest disappointment based on our experience and the reviews. And no way will they move you to a nicer room... this is what you booked, and this is what you get, goodbye we have things to do.||This property has potential if it were better managed, but given the prices, the value is not on offer. Let's wait for the management response to this review. Somehow it will be my fault "If you want a suite, book a suite" without really any intention of taking the constructive feedback many guests have provided, and implementing changes.||La Fiermontina is a sad tribute to...
Read moreMaria dont ever leave this property. I know Andrea, Anna, Daniel are also wonderful and were fabulous. The wonderful people in the restaurant each morning are as good as it gets!~ Smiling/Prompt/Welcoming. Truly a great compliment to a great hotel. I must say however so much of my interaction was with Maria. A lot of it happened in the months before I even arrived and she was just so accommodating and so reachable! She assisted as I just couldnt decide of all the great rooms across the 3 properties which one to choose. She described all and loved each one; rightfully so. Once I arrived, I was greeted wiht a hug and she and the rest of the staff immediately stole our hearts. The accommodations are very original and very cool. We were in a poo suite across street from main hotel at Lux homes. Very cool. Great room. We also went to the other property and were allowed to se some of the unoccupied rooms (Daniel was not only our host there but gave us some great local recommendations as well) The Blue room stood out as super lux and very cool. We loved the hotel and loved the easy walk we did each night into town. Lecce Old town jumps. We loved it all. By way, great gesture of a few extra pastries the day we left for airport. So great of you.I wish I can recall his name is restaurant but he was outstanding (fresh squeezed orange juice please!) and gracious and super prompt as were all who worked there!...
