We came to Lignano Sabbiadoro for Habawaba Festival and stayed for a week plus at La Pergola Hotel. We totally enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is nestled in a quiet street yet it is just a short walk away from PAM supermarket, Napoli restaurant (must try), gelato shop and most importantly, Getur Village, where our son stayed for Habawaba.||||The room we stayed in was a family room which was perfect for two adults and two young kids. There was plenty of space for our two younger kids to roam about inside the room. The fixture is new and the room is well maintained. I especially loved their windows which allow semi or full opening. ||||Breakfast was something fun for my kids. There are several choices of fruits, cereals, yogurts, breads, jam, ham, cheese, and the kitchen staff always prepare three different types of hot items every morning.||||The hotel ground is also very well attended to. It is almost as if we are living in a park. There is a small opening for kids to run and the lavenders outside the hotel pool draw bees and butterflies. There is an outdoor playground with swings and slide. My kids enjoyed playing among the trees looking for insects and geekos. We rented a car and parking was not an issue. However to save the earth, we decided to use the hotel's bicycles.||||The only draw back here is the tv. Coming from a city, we are used to big screens and multi channels. But hey, this is a beach resort! So we decided that we should stay away from TV and head for the beach! The other issue we had was the shower facility. Its drainage system isn't fast enough. Water quickly flows out of the bathroom and we had to barricade the water from entering the bedroom with bath towels . It is evidently an issue for the hotel for quite some time as we could see the bottom of the bathroom doorframe etched with a two inches watermark on the very first day. I think raising a small kerb next to the shower glass can solve this problem. ||||Other than these, everything is wonderful. We will definitely return if we have another chance to...
Read moreThe room was poorly decorated with cheap furniture and fixtures. The bathroom was for handicapped people which made it very uncomfortable to use for family with small children. The shower screen was broken and the water would overflood and create a puddle on the floor. The toilet was cracked and without a toilet set and sewage smell. Bad lighting and lack of privacy due to the big window at the bathroom. The room´s air-condition was very noisy and at it did not function. The swimming pool was small with not enough sun beds. The neighbour high buildings were very close to the pool creating lack of privacy. There was no balcony at our room despite the price we paid. The breakfast was very basic with lack of variety. The bread and cakes were old and hard. The eggs had a funky smell and the coffee was cold. The staff was unprofessional and unfriendly. There was an outdoor bar below our supposedly family room where drinks were served after 11pm. The guests are allowed to stay there and make noise until late . Therefore we could not fall asleep. We complained and asked if they could ask the guests to move inside so we could sleep. The staff with the hotel owner herself rejected promptly and reacted aggressively and arrogantly by replying "this is Italy". We suggested as an alternative to be moved to another room away from the bar area since we paid a premium price for the family room and just wanted to sleep. The owner rejected and said we would have to pay more which we didn't understand since there were alternative rooms available. We also suggested to be moved to another hotel but again offered to bear the cost ourselves The hotel owner was unapologetic, in an arrogant way never showing any sympathy or understanding for our well being. The situation escalated so that she called the police lying that we were threatening her. We ended running away for this horrible experience in the morning one day earlier and not being...

Our room at the second and last floor in the main building just above the reception area was simply awesome. It was spacious, well furnished, clean and pretty comfy with a very nice big balcony facing the garden below and a nice bathroom. More important it was pretty dark and silence at night allowing good long deep sleeps .||The swimming pool, well maintenance and looked after along the many sun beds and the various yakuzy sparkles was an add on. ||But above all, my sincere compliments go to the kitchen staff and their kind and professorial personnel at the restaurant with a special Mention to the maitre. He always bring careful to our requests and very professional bit friendly at the same time , not happening Everyday I'd say. The quality and the presentation of the food / dishes was simply outstanding and their organisation made the difference. Well done ! ||We booked a four days accommodation with breakfast and dinner included with a very aggressive offer considering the venue and the bank holiday long week end. ||Nothing went wrong and despite the forecast giving constantly rain, We've never seen a drop of it moving back and forth from their swimming pool to their reserved and dedicated sun beds just right on the shore of Lignano beach (19th) , all included in the overall cost to the swimming pool. ||We will definitely be back very soon.||Keep up the outstanding...
