B&B Il Cappero — Hotel in Lipari

Myself and my wife stayed here for 3 nights on a recent tour of Sicily. It's a lovely b&b - the room we stayed in was large and very clean. The view from the room was excellent and the grounds of the b&b are very nice. The owner was extremely friendly and able to help with queries we had about the island. They provide a free shuttle service to and from the port and if you happen to be leaving to walk into town at the same time as the shuttle they'll drive you into town as well. It's only about a 15 minute walk into town though so it's quite well situated. Breakfast was a decent spread and you can sit outside and eat and enjoy the morning sunshine. Probably the only slight issue we had was the wifi which wasn't great (although you are on a small island so hey ho). The owner did say he was trying to improve the signal. While i really don't like a dated style of most of hotels in Lipari - this one is pretty new in grey-white colors, located a bit aside from central part of lipase old center in a surroundings with lots of construction but easily reachable - small port in in 10 mins walking distance. What i should mention - b&b organized free pick-up and delivery of luggage on a day of arrival/departure. Especially we we cared on a day of departure when my friend has broken his hand - driver Emilio was helpful in delivering luggage later and picking us at requested time in the hospital. Breakfast is nice, maybe lacking fresh vegetables and having limited choice of meat and cheese but this is quite common for all island hotels. Cons: a bit out of center, dated bathrooms. This B&B has lovely clean rooms, stylishly and simply furnished. Fabricio was a great host - gave a warm welcome, plenty of tips in what to do and the team were always there to help organise trips etc.||||Breakfast is served in the beautiful gardens and had a range of local produce - the honey and figs from the garden deserve special mention.||||It's a short walk into town which was fine. ||||Special mention goes to Fabricio who was invaluable help when we needed to see a doctor - he immediately organised what we had to do and came with us as an interpreter.
