We only stayed here the one night and arrived later than we'd intended, which meant we didn't have much of a chance to enjoy all the things we discovered this lovely place has offer. Slightly difficult to locate initially, esp. at night and with a temperamental Satnav lol, however on arrival the wonderful decor, quaint setting and 'feel' was immediately calming and welcoming - bright, new clean HUGE rooms, kitchenette, everything you could possibly want, so much we were kicking ourselves we couldn't stay longer - next time for sure. Parking located conveniently right out the back, massive comfy beds, modern arty decor, lovely efficient reception (the lady can speak excellent English, she also provided some useful tips for restaurants/bars, local festivals and places to visit), gorgeous breakfast room and food, we couldn't fault it.||We were ready for quite a walk into town (at night), having noted the distance indicated on Booking.com, however once we found the right direction, were nicely surprised it was only a maximum, and quite pleasant, 10min walk into the old town. Marsala old town is fabulous, lots of restaurants, shops and bars, whilst oozing with historic culture, churches, quaint Farmers Markets (we were there on a Sunday), buzzing town squares... and for late on a Saturday night, the best behaved youth we've ever seen (ie. no tearing around getting drunk & disorderely, instead lively but well-behaved social/family gatherings). In fact we had a most entertaining night with a front seat view of the town's promenading (I believe La Passeggiata is the correct Italian term!), well worth a watch. The other plus about Marsala is it's a stone's throw away from other local delights like an adjacent ruins site, salt pan flats and slightly further away, Trapani and the amazing Erice amongst numerous other must-visit places.||Top quality, hidden gem A++ accommodation which deserves credit, not over-priced and thus thoroughly...
Read moreWe stayed in Marsala for one night during a tour of Western Sicily and are so glad we found this hotel!||Using Google Maps it was very easy to find and there are guest parking places right outside the front door. Nataly greeted us very warmly and was extremely welcoming. She showed us to our room, where we had a moment to freshen up, before a chance to sit and have an arrival glass of Marsala wine. Delicious and a lovely touch!||The rooms are very spacious, ours had a small well equipped kitchenette which we didn't use due to our short stay but would have definitely been handy for longer stays. Bright, modern décor with a lovely bathroom and great shower. Comfy beds too!||Le Isole is in a great position in a residential area but only a ten minute walk into the main town. Nice and quiet in the evenings and great for parking, a premium in Italian towns, whilst being close enough to the hustle and bustle of the lovely town.||Breakfast was excellent, the best we have had in our two week tour of Italy. Bread, cold meats and cheese, pickles, croissants, yoghurt, fruit and a selection of teas, coffees and juices. ||Marsala is a lovely little town with lots to offer, it comes alive in the evening and has a great atmosphere.||We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to all family...
Read moreWhat a charming place. The greeting was spectacular with some lovely Marsala wine (or juice) and information about the area!! Our room was immaculately clean and it was nicely furnished. We loved the kitchen area which would be great for long term stays. ||||Breakfast was superb and they even asked us if we’d like scrambled eggs and bacon (yummy) in addition to the adequate buffet offering. There was plenty of fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt, bread and cereals. Loved the blood orange juice and the coffee was exceptional. If we need a place in Marsala again we will absolutely stay here. ||||Parking is a little tight but they do have about five spaces in front of the complex (accessed through a...
