Scent of Sicily | Luxury Villas in Sicily to Rent — Local services in Marsala

We booked our Villa in Marsala through Scent of Sicily for 9 nights (there wasn't a lot of choice because Scent of Sicily prefer bookings from Sat- to Fri and we wanted Mon-Wed (9 nights). After paying a deposit we did further research and the booked Villa wasn't quite what we were thinking of, but Alessandra insisted that it was a great Villa. At that point we were ready to forfeit our deposit, but Alessandra insisted again it was a great property. So we trusted her and went with it. We met at the designated meeting point in Marsala where it was suggested that we had lunch while we waited for the arrival of the Villa owner and Alessandra to take us to the property. The restaurant at the meeting point was not open because it was a Monday, that's o.k., but we would have thought that Alessandra would have known this (she does reside in Marsala after all). Anyway, we got to the Villa and we cannot tell you what a disappointment it was.We will take up all our issues with Scent of Sicily directly. Oh, by the way, Alessandra couldn't come to the check-out with the owner because she had to go to work; sorry, we thought she worked for...

Enttäuschend

Realität und Versprechungen fallen auseinander! Aufgrund des online Auftritts haben wir unseren Urlaub auf Sizilien über scent of sicily gebucht. Gebucht haben wir die "Villa Sea Sound". Bekommen haben wir eine kleine Hütte. Dies wurde inzwischen nach Beschwerde auch entsprechend korrigiert. Jetzt wird eine "Cottage Sea Sound" angeboten.

Leider kam ein Gewitter und die -für solches Wetter absolut keinen Schutz bietende- Hütte wurde überflutet. Blitzableiter gibt es nicht, Fenster und Türen sind undicht. Unsere Betten standen in einem See aus Wasser. Wir konnten also zwei Nächte überhaupt nicht dort schlafen. Dass eine schwangere Frau und ihr 2 jähriges Kind deswegen eine Nacht im Auto schlafen mussten, war ihnen offensichtlich egal. Geld zurück gab es nicht. Lediglich für die letzte Nacht die Kosten eines deutlich billigeren Ersatz Hotels, so dass wir letztlich über 200 € drauf gezahlt haben. Unverschämtheit. Bucht man eine VILLA zu einem außerordentlich hohen Preis, ist zu erwarten, dass man bei Unwetter Schutz finden kann.

Das Geld sowie die 500€ Kaution gab es auch erst nach langwierigem hin und her, nachdem wir bereits über einen Monat abgereist waren. Insgesamt viele Nerven verloren. Besser über seriöse Anbieter seinen Urlaub angehen.

positiv: schöner Garten und naher Strand

negativ: selbstgefälliger Service schlechte Matratzen, Betten klein und bei kleinster Bewegung laut sehr wenig Platz - keine Privatssphäre unzählige Schlüssel Nachts wurde in der näheren Umgebung öfter etwas verbrannt, so dass man auf der schönen Terrasse Rauch ausgesetzt war mussten alles Bar bei Schlüsselübergabe zahlen, also mehrere tausend Euro vor Ort unprofessionelle Kommunikation (jede kleinste Info als eigene Mail zweifach abgeschickt - man verliert den Überblick bei wem, wann, wo etc) keiner fühlt sich zuständig

FAZIT: Das professionelle Werbevideo und die tatsächliche Lage vor Ort liegen weit auseinander. Die zwei Nächte die wir nicht übernachten konnten wurden nicht erstattet. Man fühlt sich herablassend behandelt. Es wird Luxus versprochen, den man sich günstiger und entspannter ...
