Metropolis - Bed and Breakfast - — Hotel in Messina

We spent almost 2 hours searching for this B&B mainly because we didn't expect it to be in a block of flats. The nearby public parking was on the road. The B&B was clean, colourful and had a big bed & bathroom. This was ideal for people on a budget. The young man who let us in was very nice but there was no one in situ after letting guests in. If you needed a doctor or a toilet roll there was no one to contact. Breakfast was the bare minimum- a croissant per guest, some butter and jams, apples or bananas, unappealing biscuits can t recall if there was cereal but lots of juices and tea of coffee. We had a bit of a job finding the exact location, but after a couple of calls, the owner arrived and showed us the room. Surprisingly, the room was really good, as first impressions of the block weren't great. Parking initially was a challenge as our car is a tad under 5m long. ||The owner had a quick phone round and found us an enclosed parking space a short walk away for €12 for the night. He escorted us there in his car, and brought us and our luggage back to his B & B. This we thought was very helpful as we didn't want to park on the street. Very clean and nice decorated.The owner Chiara is one of the most gentle and helpful persons i've evere met... If you happen to be at Messina and need a place to stay you should definetly try to visit one of her family b&b(Metropolis and Blu Mediterraneo) you will not be dissapointed... I had my family comming over and no place to accommodate them, so we had to find an hotel and they were al very happy with Metropolis.
