The service of this so called hotel is substandard and they overcharge for items/ service that is normally provided by hotel standard.
I spent a night in the MEININGER hotel before I fly back to my country. Since I had an evening flight, I was trying to leave my luggage at the hotel and went on for some shopping after checkout. They charged me for leaving the luggage only for a few hours after check out. The fee I paid for keeping two luggages for 3 hours was €13. This was the only time I encountered such things when staying at a hotel (honestly I would have gone for hostels/ airbnb if not for the luggage service). Besides, you have to spend 5-10 minutes to fill out a e-form, get on the payment, and another 5 minutes to get your own luggage to a luggage room in the basement floor before you can finally go. There were only charges but no service provided. (The charges were very new to me, also I think hotel staff should be responsible for helping guests to get their luggage for storage, especially here that they specifically charged on the “service “ )
The design of the hotel is in hostel/airbnb style, not particularly tourist friendly. For example, there is a locked gate from the entrance that is closest to the train station (about 10 minutes away). It was not as “open” as hotels i usually encountered.
The hotel is far away from any main station. You still have to walk for 10 mins from the closest train station. At least 40 minutes to get to the famous square. I think you may have way better options which is closer to central station/ the square at airbnb/ other budget hotels with the night fee of €135 excluding tax and on top charge for...
Read moreMy experience is worse. I never commit this hotel to my friends. Our clothes are stolen in our rooms.. And no one help to us even one worker she name is Sofia. When I tried to explained my situtation to other colleague on the reception, she laughed at us. She hates the Turks. Unfortunatly, this is racism. but the other employee are so sweet. In the meantime they did not take any responsibility for our problems. They working with cleaning company and the explanation for our stolen clothes only this. I don't care the cleaning company that your working with you have to take responsability because our clothes stolen in hotel room. in the other hand Sofia is never interested our problems she always run out and in the meantime the other employees have reported they are sorry but sofia is not. She was really rude to the turkish people. We never understand, why she had a problem with us? In my country you never live racialism problem. And when we left the hotel and came to our country. The hotel sent an email about damaged lamped. they said this lamp damaged in our room but we are not child and we couldn't do that. we are never damaged any items on the our room and this is slander. They should have to check our room before we are leaving. I know all legal rules, My cousin have hotel in Venice Çırağan Kempinski. And I already talk to him and he shocked about the this rubbery issue in your hotel and the other damaged issue because this is a slander!

Read moreI had one night stay at your hostel, everything was looking normal with a good impression regarding the design at the beginning, coming back night after discovering the city, I and my friend were surprised by the crazy number of mosquitos in our room, I went to the front desk, asking for a solution as simply as it looks like : Impossible to sleep normally , He gave us ( his name was Marco) a spray saying that is enough .
Trying to sleep I literally could not as the mosquitos are making a lot of noise Went down again to meet Marco , I spoke with him this time in English in order to make it really clear that No normal human being would accept to sleep there, I was surprised that before finding the solution he was more asking me why I'm now speaking in English instead of Italian (He even said that I'm here in Italy so I need to speak Italian ) that made me even madder, I asked to change the room , he refused completely saying that they don't have and that I need to pay for a private room. After when he saw that I'm starting to be mad, and also let him know that I'm not staying or even sleeping at this room and if I leave, he needs to be sure that I will absolutely put a bad review on the social platform as it's just not acceptable, he decided at the end to offer us a room. To conclude, I'm not trying to use the threat as a way to solve a problem, but I'm still disappointed regarding the effort it took me (also now writing this comment) to just have my simple right to sleep, which is the reason I booked...
