Albergo Esperia — Hotel in Milazzo

The Hotel is set in the West coast of Milazzo in the middle of via Tonno, just in front of a wonderful clear sea. The Hotel is located outside the city centre (10 minutes max by car and about 30 minutes walking). The Hotel is small, has about ten rooms, (six in front of the sea) and few apartments (No sea view). Just in front there is a pubblic parking (safe). The Hotel is original, every room is different with an original style. The rooms are big, with a private bathroom and shower and a big balcony. I spent six nights in this Hotel in Juin . The room was really clean, every day, the Housekeeping Team take care for everything also the balcony. The breakfast is served on the level 0 in a garden, full of plants, a oasis of peace 😁. The Hotel provides a beach umbrella and a beach chair for free. The beach is far just one minute from the Hotel. Close the Hotel, there are restaurants, bar and beach club, and a supermarket at about ten minutes walking. The staff deserve a 10 stars. Always with a genuine smile, no procédure attitudes, just simple and authentic people, always there to listen, suggest and help you. As I told you before I spent six relaxing days thanks to them, I don't know all the names of the staff but I want say Thank you to Mrs. Maria, Mrs. Laura and Mr. Giovanni for their assistance and suggest. Quiet place about 10 minutes from port. Warning - car navigation systems mostly doesn'¨t work properly because of Milazzo streets have 2 various numbers on the buildings; you have to go direction north VIA TONO and check left side, hotel hasn't any weel marked sign. Good point is that it is opposite parking place.||Now back to hotel: very modern originally equipped, rooms are not too large, but enough for nice stay. Ask hotel before booking for your room, you cannot find two similar.||Breakfast is served in nice garden, and it is very good, reach for fresh fruits. Service is helpful -- they help us well by organising boat trip to Panarea / Stromboli islands inclusive transport to/from port.||Only negative point - despite street is quiet, sleeping quality is not the best. Our room was near reception, door is not enough sound proven and we heard every call in the night. Similary, noise from garden is rare, but considerable. We only had one night in this lovely boutique hotel prior to catching the ferry the next day to Lipari Island but would have happily stayed for longer.||||Hotel Espiria is a great option in Milazzo. It is a bit out of 'town' but that it a bonus. The location is ideal on the beach on peninsula facing west. The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. Free parking opposite. Inexpensive local taxi if you need it.||||It was too cool to swim on our visit, but the beach is wonderful. We had a lovely long walk along the beach and also up to the Castle on the hill (Castello di Milazzo – see separate review).||||The room is well equipped, clean and comfortable.
