La Controra Hostel Naples — Hotel in Naples

Dear La Controra hostel stuff, On the day of 8th May 2022, i was siting at the corner of breakfast hall where there are multiple plugs and approximately the place where shown on picture with red arrows in order to charge my mobile phone. But while i was charging the phone i took out my wallet out of my back pocket because it was disturbing me. But, sadly, like around 1:30 am i had to leave the place forgetting my wallet at the small table where multiple plugs are placed. When i woke up at the morning, i couldn't find my wallet in my bag and it came to my mind that i had left it at the small table which quickly i ran to with horror. Since i couldn't see it also on the table, this time i went to the reception. Gabriele was in reception desk and luckily he asked me if I lost my wallet. I replied him yes and thanked him taking my wallet back and being grateful to God. And I was shocked when checked inside my wallet since there was only 150 euros while there must be 750 euros. My money was lacking by 600 euros. I turned back to the reception desk to ask Gabriele whether he can roll back the camera records in the hall. And he said there was no camera to record in that area and it was not possible to roll back other camera records and it was a French guy who found the wallet and bring it to the reception and he had already checked out and left the hostel a few hours ago. I asked him to if it's possible to take his phone number for asking him some questions to keep track of missing money which corresponds to my three month salary and saved along a period of two years long work. He replied me that it was a privacy rule and he couldn't give me that out. Because i was traumatized by the situation and it was my checkout time and the time of my train to the Rome was approaching i had to leave hostel so I couldn't get into the issue. And today i couldn't buy plane ticket to my country and i got trapped in Rome. I have a job to turn back and continue to work which i still don't know if I'm fired or not. My life is simply ruined. İt has been up to this days that i barely got over this shock. And finally i decided to illuminate the situation which even if needs to deal with it for entire my life. I want to find out the responsible persone of this theft. For the God sake and i only want from you guys these things below: 1- Plz give me the contact info that French guy which Gabriele had mentioned me earlier even if it's out of the rules (Because my situation is exceptional and i think more sensitive.) 2- Even though i am told by Gabriele that there is no video survalliance in the area in question -which i think necessarily there must have been at least one camera there- however i feel that some of you maybe know the system better than him and recheck it again and detect the person that stole the money and we might try to convince him to return the money in "peaceful ways". And i hope you would collaborate with me that i witnessed that you were all helpful to me during my staying. If my well-intentioned efforts fail, I am so sorry to say that i have more secure options to get results for this problem like alerting the police with combining help of Turkish embassy -since i work as high degree officer for public institution in my country. But, as i stated above i would like to resolve the problem "in a peaceful way" because i don't consider the theft as an enemy but as a young person which always prone to make mistakes. This was my first visit to Napoli and my first experience upon touchdown was La Controra Hostel. ||The Hostel is very easy to find if you are travelling from Capodichino Airport thanks to the very clear and precise directions provided with your booking and La Controra's centrality allows for the majority of Napoli's sights and attractions to be reached within walking distance.|The warm, friendly welcome upon check in was a pleasant surprise and they couldn't have been more helpful. Both happy to help and knowledgeable of the city, La Controra's staff furnish you with Maps/Guides, recommendations for bars and restaurants and historical walking tours. ||The accommodation itself is supremely clean, with comfortable beds/linen, a number of spacious well maintained bathrooms and a picturesque open plan garden with a bar and terrace.|Speaking of the bar, I very quickly made friends with both the amazing bar staff and my fellow guests, offering very reasonably priced drinks, food and an atmosphere which encouraged staff and guests alike to talk and get to know one another, La Controra's bar is a wonderful place to relax and socialise after a day's exploring. ||I have to also mention that I had never felt so secure in a hostel prior to my stay. All rooms have key card access and a locker/padlock is provided, I had full confidence my belongings were safe during the day.|In addition, La Controra offers laundry services, luggage storage and a free breakfast which would put a lot of Hotels to shame. ||I have to give all of the amazing staff of La Controra Hostel a big Thank You, you guys went above and beyond, La Controra wasn't just "a place to put my head down" but a part of my wonderful Napoli...

La Controra is good overall - I stayed for 4D 3N in a double room with an en-suite and I'd certainly stay here again, but there are some points for improvement.||POSITIVE ||good price - very reasonable. ||Breakfast included - it was basic (toast, cereal, fruit etc) but a good start to the morning. ||Friendly, positive staff and hospitable atmosphere. ||Intersting location - it's a shame you aren't able to have a nose around the abandoned church next to the hostel! |||WORK ON POINTS||The bathroom mirror/light setup wasn't great. The mirror appears designed to prevent light from shining on your face as it has a wooden border which obstructs the light. ||The towels provided were very small - it's a good thing I always bring my own! Could definitely do with some bigger ones. ||The shower head was ever so slightly too short. I'm 6 ft 2, and the shower head appeared to be exactly 6ft 2 off the floor, so not well situated for the...
