Totò, Eduardo e ... Pasta e fagioli — Restaurant in Naples

We reserved a table for 6 people midweek with short notice which was very well accommodated. We had a nice view of Napoli from the terrace. We ordered some antipasti and main meals but one of the meals appeared to be forgotten about - it arrived over 30 minutes after the other meals despite the staff being reminded twice. We were well accommodated to stay despite 2 other people joining our party for longer, but it took around 15 minutes for our bill to be generated at the end of our meal. Our waiter did not appear to understand Italian or English. When we spoke to the owner/chef about the late meal, we were told that this was not going to be removed from the bill because it was eaten - we were told that this was how things worked in Italy and even in England, where we are from. It seemed likely that the order was forgotten, which the owner/chef refused to admit. Whilst he was relatively polite, I did not appreciate the sentiment of this. I would not return to visit...

I really like the place because it’s next to my Airbnb and where I was staying with a beautiful view of the city, we ordered the appetizers which is the salad octopus and it was disgusting 🤮 and smells so bad, we couldn’t even eat it we asked him to take it right away it’s like a rotten octopus. We ordered a couple of pasta which is was a good pasta both of them, then we asked him for the recipe to pay for the check and we have to wait like 20 minutes before we decide to leave to the check register and we meet by the rudeness of the employee which is I believe he was the manager or the owner and he charged us the full price even though we asked him to go ahead and try it out and he said it’s fresh and tested like this. We paid the full price and this is my last time in this place ever, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in Italy 🇮🇹 specially in Napoli this restaurant doesn’t represent the Italian food and culture, I don’t recommend this...

Let me start by saying the staff was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly, attentive, and kind. They are the only reason why this review is 2 stars, and not -1. I would give them 5 if I could. They carried the team, or so the saying goes. (A bad football pun, since we visited the restaurant during a Napoli football team game).

However, if you enjoy minimal flavor and a dangerously absurd and ridiculous amount of salt, to the point your mouth and tongue is burning, then this is the place for you to eat 👌. Additionally, the seafood dish with mostly empty/closed clams and muscles was not thrilling either. Oh wait there's more...weird pieces of long string in the salad. But wait, the adventure doesn't stop there. Even the basket of bread that was served at the table was.....if you guessed it...somehow very salty as well.

To reiterate, lovely and fun waiter and staff. But food? -1 star unfortunately and not worth the...
