Read moreAlessandro and his wife are super hosts, nice, cheerful, and welcoming. They would offer us drinks each time we were coming back in the evening. The communication was great, the breakfasts were outstanding (coffee, juices, warm bread, cheese, ham, eggs, fruits, muesli, yoghurts, cookies, and more!). The rooms are really pretty, with lots and lots of interesting details to watch, like in a museum. Clean and spacious! The bed was okay. We had a small smelly trouble with the washstand in the room twice, but I'm sure it'll be fixed, plus it doesn't really spoil the overall impression. The bathroom was small but good anyways. It's quite convenient to take a bus down- and uphill, so during the day you can explore Varenna, the lake, and other destinations around it. The last bus from Varenna to Perledo is around 17.35.
I totally recommend this place (and any other places held by...
Read moreIt's wonderful place. Extremely welcome owners. Rooms are full of antique furniture and attributes which are chosen with amazing sense of style. When you are living here you feel atmosphere of old Italy. Amazing feeling, nothing will remind you about industrial cities or daily life. House the part of the history and living there you are becoming the part of the house. I spend hours to develop the room attributes and pictures on the wall in the hall. It’s extraordinary place place with lovely family atmosphere. Looking on rooms and kitchen you understand that for owners this place is more than an hotel and more than just a house, they put whole soul in every piece of interior to keep house as a small historical footprint of old Italy. I could never imagine that I would have such emotions regarding...
