Residence Hotel & Bar Villa Mare — Hotel in Portoferraio

We spent two lovely weeks, with friends ,in Bagnaia in the Villa Mare. Its like a home by the sea, apartment looking over the bay and 2 mins walk from the beach. The road into the village is a cul de sac so there is no through traffic . The beach is stony like most in this part of Elba but the water is clear and bright with views straight across the bay to Portoferriao and Napoleons house. The hotel is owned by Luciano and Georgio and they are there every morning to look after their guests, along with lovely staff that become friends by the end of your stay. Breakfast is the best coffee and croissant in Elba. Its a great base to tour a wonderful island , with Porto Azzurro our highlight for restaurants and shops. There are busses but you really need a car or motorbike/scooter as the island is really one big mountain!|The apartments in Villa Mare are bright, modern, totally spotless and well equipped - ours had a superb balcony overlooking the sea that easily hosted 6 people for apperetivi as the sun set over the bay. We would go back in a heartbeat and know there would be a great welcome from the lovely Luciano...

GIUGNO 2024 Ritorno ogni anno al Villa Mare di Bagnaia, certo la posizione è invidiabile: mare trasparente a pochi passi e circondato dal verde, ma di questo ho già parlato altre volte. Vorrei parlare invece non della fortunata ubicazione del Residence, ma del Residence stesso. Gli appartamenti sia bilocali che trilocali (ho soggiornato in entrame le tipologie) sono spaziosi (ben oltre lo standard dell'isola d'Elba) e freschi, tutti hanno una veranda arredata (alcuni addirittura due entrambe arredate), gli arredi degli appartamenti sono molto funzionali (anche in questo caso spesso oltre la media dell'isola d'Elba), la biancheria in dotazione è di buona qualità, cuscini e materassi garantiscono un ottimo sonno ristoratore, la pulizia è accurata e nel difficilissimo caso in cui ci sia un problema, la solerzia del personale è encomiabile. Il parcheggio è ampio e dotato di telecomando. Al bar, oltre alle ottime brioche per le colazioni, si possono gustare ottimi panini (meglio dette schiaccine) e ottimi aperitivi. Lo staff nel suo insieme è gentile, disponibile e di buon livello. Infine, ma primo per importanza in questo Residence ci sono clienti che tornano ogni anno anche da decenni. Io stessa ho assistito a clienti in partenza che prenotavano per il prossimo anno. Se non è una garanzia questa, non saprei che altro lo potrebbe essere.

Giugno 2023, nuova vacanza! Sinceramente ho ben poco da aggiungere a quanto scritto un anno fa, se non che la cordialità, la gentilezza, la disponibilità e la professionalità sono rimaste immutate! Grazie mille a tutti per continuare a consentire a noi turisti, di godere di una vacanza degna di tale nome!

Ancora una volta sono tornata in questa struttura, e ancora una volta devo fare i miei complimenti! Complimenti al personale della reception che, con grande gentilezza e disponibilità, riesce a dare il vero senso alla parola "accoglienza"! Il titolare è, da vero toscano, sempre pronto a condividere una battuta spiritosa! Cortesia e gentilezza ancora al bar dove si possono gustare, al banco o nell"accogliente terrazza esterna, delle ottime brioche per colazione e gustosissime focacce, o meglio "schiaccine" farcite! Gli appartamenti perfettamente puliti e ordinati sono stati gradualmente rinnovati. Il parcheggio privato è molto spazioso, e nella realtà di questa piccola località, è fondamentale! La spiaggia a soli 20 metri è affascinante nella sua selvaggia bellezza, con i mille colori dei suoi sassolini che scendono nelle acque cristalline. Infine, come regalo della natura, i tramonti bellissimi! Non si può ne' chiedere ne' volere di più! Grazie a tutti voi per la bellissima vacanza che mi avete...

been in the residence with my two kids for two weeks and the 3 of us are in agreement when saying that residence villa mare is a great place to stay. the entire team of the residence is very easy going and friendly and attentive to all sort of requests a guest might have. Efficiency and caring for guests goes along with the feeling at home type of atmosphere that surrounds you during your stay.||Particularly if you are with young kids, the latter is very important as you want to relax right? The here you go at villa mare you definitively can.||The location is great, right on the beach of Bagnaia no traffic no parking problems once you are one of the guests of villa mare. Eventually value for money, you got it!||100% recommended place for an easy going time...
