Hotel la Feluca — Hotel in Rio

We stayed at Hotel La Feluca for 1 week in June and our stay was perfect. ||||The hotel positions itself as 2 stars, but it’s undoubtedly 3 stars. ||||The room (we had №304) is very spacious with comfortable bed and incredibly beautiful sea view opening from a cozy balcony where we used to sit enjoying sunsets and cool evenings. There is no air-con, but the fan was more than enough for us. ||The bathroom is spacious as well. Looking at the photos one may think it’s not very convenient to take a shower, but in reality it turned out to be no problem at all. ||||The hotel has free Wi-Fi in rooms. Moreover, the Internet connection is very good and speedy – no inconveniences whatsoever. ||||The breakfasts are plentiful with home-made pastries and cakes, fruits. It was so good to enjoy the food sitting on the veranda overlooking Bagnaia bay.||||As for the personnel – they are all super friendly always willing to help you. Many-many special thanks to Irma, Nicoletta and Jessica who helped us so much in so-so-so many cases. ||||The hotel is situated far from hustle and bustle of Portoferraio, but if you rent a car you can easily reach it. As an addition, you’ll receive total silence and serenity: no road, no noise – just birds’ and owls’ songs.||||There are many restaurants in just 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Bagnaia beach is 5 minutes’ walk as well. The nearest minimarket is near the beach and a bigger one is in Magazzini which is 5 minutes’ drive from the hotel.||||So, our stay was very pleasant and nice. This is a family run hotel and is a half hour bus ride from Portoferraio. They genuinely want you to have a happy stay and went to enormous lengths to make us feel at home. There is nothing they would not do. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the hotel but the Mother made her son drive us because it was slightly raining. The morning we left they gave us a packed breakfast (which would feed an army) because we had to leave before 8! They are lovely, lovely people. The view from down to the each and surrunding trees is absolutely amazing. There are also lovely gardens with sun loungers which is very serene to sit and read or just take in the sun. We booked this hotel as we were visiting the island and found it a good place to start out. Everywhere is easily located by car although some roads are rather tight! Hotel staff were friendly and we got a warm reception. Our room was on the 3rd floor with no lift but that did not cause us a problem. Our room was spacious with a nice view and balcony. The only negatives were that it was a warm night and there is no air con in the rooms. The ceiling fan did not work and we only found out once we were in bed and needed it!!
