This was a bucket list trip and likely the best family vacation we have had. We stayed 7 nights in March / April 2025. Flew into and out of Venice, which was a 2.75 hour (beautiful) drive away from Venice airport. ||Some observations:||1) We stayed in a Bellerophon suite for 2 adults and 3 kids. This was tight but we only really slept in our rooms and we had so many other facilities for showers and relaxation and meals that we didn’t spend much time there. Balcony was wonderful for views and storage of empty suitcases and ski accessories. ||2) Food was amazing and lots of options. We did a half board plan (breakfast and dinner included), which saved us loads of time researching restaurants and reservations so we could focus on family time together. We had our own designated table every breakfast and dinner that made things very familiar for our kids. They also made several accommodations for our kids who are admittedly picky eaters. (SIDE NOTE: We actually went to Hotel La Perla’s fancy restaurant one night and probably paid more for that dinner than what our dinners cost for the whole week at Hotel Marmolada. But we appreciated the food at Marmolada as much as the Michelin star place.)||3) Service was amazing. Francesco and Francesca and Iwan and Sonja made this place feel like we were guests in their home. Our kids actually got really attached to the team there and wanted to leave them thank you cards etc. Sad day to leave with all the relationships that were built in that week. Wine tasting with Iwan was icing on the cake. ||4) Ski lockers and proximity to lifts were perfect. This is why we ultimately chose not to do Cortina or other Dolomites areas. SellaRonda is 100 yards away and options to walk downhill to slopes and then finish above the resort on other inside so literally downhill walks both to and from the resort (which those with kids and skis will definitely appreciate). ||5) Pool and whirlpool and spa facilities were gorgeous, well kept, and a huge benefit to anyone (whether adult getaway or having kids with you). ||Could not have asked for more. If you like to be taken care of this place is a great option. Everyone was so nice and they always had an extra plate of snacks or a wine recommendation and 100 other little things that made it easy and so nice…||Oh and we own a ski place in Colorado and it’s true that (if you don’t own your own ski llace), you can probably go skiing for a week at Hotel Marmolada for the same cost you’d spend for a week skiing in the USA. Flights are obviously more expensive, but the hotels, food, and skiing are all probably half the price of the U.S. equivalent, which more than made up for the flight premium. ||Thanks for everything to the Hotel...
Read moreWe stayed at Dolomites Lifestyle Hotel Marmolada while visiting for a friend's wedding. It was the perfect location from which to base in Carvara in Badia; we didn't take the car out once during our stay and instead walked everywhere.||The hotel staff spoke very good English and were so gracious and accommodating. When there was a snafu with a gathering for the bridal party and friends, the folks at the hotel bar offered to relocate the group to them and by the time we arrived - 26 people strong - they had set out glassware and snacks and welcomed the group with next to no notice. We were so appreciative of this.||We were upgraded to a higher room class - a welcome surprise - with striking views of Sassongher from the tiny outdoor deck - and with plenty of room for our luggage. The bathroom was enormous, the water pressure excellent and the robes and towels deliciously fluffy. The wifi worked well throughout the hotel.||We made use of the steam rooms and saunas, the hot tubs and pool area, and enjoyed drinks in the beautiful lounge overlooking the pool. We did not take breakfast downstairs although it looked very complete, but instead opted for coffee service on our tiny deck with its breathtaking views.||We were appreciative of the laundry service which returned clothes ironed and steamed later the same day we handed them over.||Truly - we wanted for nothing except more days to enjoy and relax into our beautiful hotel. We'd happily recommend this to anyone coming to stay in the area and would just as readily return on...
Read moreI recently stayed at the dependance of Hotel Marmolada and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Upon entering the apartment, I was surprised to find the foyer cluttered with cleaning equipment such as mops, buckets, and a vacuum cleaner. The heating system panel was open and inconveniently placed right next to the door, disrupting the overall aesthetics of the space. Furthermore, the washing and drying machine were located in our private foyer, suggesting that the apartment is typically used to accommodate hotel staff. While we adressed these concerns to the reception, the cleaning equipment was removed, and the heating panel was covered. Unfortunately, the buckets reappeared after a couple of days, indicating a lack of consistent attention to guest feedback. Regrettably, the price-performance ratio was unsatisfactory, with costs being at least 40% higher than justified. Aside from the convenient location, there were few positive aspects to highlight. Having visited the Dolomites for many years, this marked the first time I encountered such a disappointing stay. Despite this unfortunate choice of accommodation, we managed to enjoy our holiday in beautiful Dolomites. I sincerely hope that the hotel management addresses these issues to enhance the overall experience for...
