We enjoyed a week in a standard room in this gem of a hotel. The room was cosy and clean. Soap and shower gel are provided. I usually take my own but the products provided were fine. There is a hairdryer in the shower room.||Re prior comment-||Ask at reception if you would like extra pillows. I had 2 extra pillows and my husband had one extra pillow. Reception also provide robes for the spa area. ||The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was fabulous. I emailed ahead to let them know that I require a strict gluten free diet. They catered really well for me, even making separate desserts when I could not have the set pudding. On Friday night they had a dessert buffet. The waitress put a selection of GF desserts on a plate for me to ensure I knew what I could have. There was also lots of fruit available. ||GF rolls were provided for breakfast and dinner. The yoghurt was GF. Cheese and ham were available and eggs could be ordered. ||As we had an early start on Saturday, the staff made up a packed breakfast for us.||There are a selection of games in the bar area and other cosy areas to relax. ||We'd just like to thank all the staff for our...
Read moreThis is a great hotel, and the best I've stayed in. The family who run this hotel do a great job. Its clean, warm, and more things work than your average Italian hotel. The best things about this hotel is the service, and the food. We stayed for 7 days half board. The chef is really really good at his job; the food tastes fantastic and its presentation is really lovely. On the Wednesday the boss cooked and did a fantastic beef on the bone among other dishes, and the servers had great outfits which I assume are local dress. Our servers were Florian and Rebecca who spoke good English and did their very best to make everyone comfortable. The boss, (despite Inghams saying he was grumpy before his first coffee) was the nicest guy. I'm not sure what makes a hotel a 3 star, but this one was better than any 4 star I've stayed in, and they have some great local wine's, just ask Florian to pick...
Read moreWe are a group of 20-25 ski lovers who come to St. Vigilio every year /past 7 years/ and always stay at this nice hotel. Rooms are very clean and cozy, clean towels every day. The owner does not mind serving us early breakfast in order to catch the first bus to the slopes. Very convenient if you ski at Kronplatz as the ski bus stop is right at the hotel, so no need to walk too far. At the same time if you wish to ski in the surrounding areas its just close by /alta badia, corvarajust 30 mind drive by car/ access to Arraba, Sellaronda. Cortina just 1 hour of drive.||Meals are always tasty and the 4 course dinner is more than enought. I highly recommend this hotel. Staff is fantastic and very friendly. Thanks to Yogi and his family :) will be back next...
