A rare gem. We’ve had the pleasure to stay at Paraccia more than a decade ago, and this year we wanted to relive those memories. We’re so happy that we did! Rooms are beautiful, traditional, old-school type without the unnecessary modernism. Everything was just like as I remembered, or perhaps even better. Italian hospitality is something other countries should take an example of; and I’ve been to many. The atmosphere in the hotel is simply wonderful, with everyone being so kind it makes you feel almost at home. I only wish there were some parties/discos in the evening, but perhaps we came a little bit too late, as the ski season was ending. And most importantly, the dinners — a true masterpiece. My respect for Italy has no measures. A country of artworks in every possible dimension, and Paraccia’s cuisine isn’t any different; es ist ein Kunstwerk :) Plenty of artworks every single evening and with each evening it only got better and better. Hats off, genuinely. Incredibly kind, good-mannered waiting staff, beautiful interior and amazing sights outside, with a charming forest just at the exit of the hotel. Lovers of good cuisine, classy style, wonderful sights, and breathtaking landscapes, will find Paraccia a little heaven on Earth, and a great escape from day-today responsibilities. It was incredibly painful to leave Paraccia; its amazing atmosphere draws you in so much you genuinely wish to stay there forever. I will hold memories of this place close to my heart, and hopefully, we will visit this place again next season....

Read moreWe had a great ski week at this excellent hotel. Karin and Alex were superb hosts and looked after us during our stay. The hotel has a great location, we walked to the ski lift, only 10 mins or you can catch a bus outside the hotel. The game changer is the hotel locker room at the lift. No hauling your gear from the hotel to the lift and back. Superb facility. The hotel has a great restaurant and food with superb views over the resort. The bar is excellent, roomy and comfortable. Our superb en suite room was large, clean and had a balcony. There is an excellent sauna facility in the basement with everything you could want. Karin took us to Cortina for ski guiding one day, it was excellent with superb skiing and incredible views. All we needed to do was follow Karin down a variety of mainly red runs. Another day we decided to give snow shoe hiking a try and Alex took us up the valley to catch the snow cat. This takes you up the mountain at the end of a valley where there is a hotel restaurant where we had lunch. Alex gave us the snow shoes and we had a great walk in quiet and a superb natural environment. On the way back we picked up a toboggan from the hotel and had a fun trip back down the mountain, what a great experience. Cannot recommend Hotel Monte Paraccia, Karin and Alex...
