Hotel Recort — Hotel in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

I’ve been working in the travel industry for many years, currently as a representative for a luxury hotel chain, so I’ve had the chance to travel extensively and stay at some exceptional properties. I must say, Hotel Recort is now one of them! Since it just opened and has very few reviews, I really wanted to leave one.

It’s a brand new little gem which has left us seriously impressed. We just spent 7 nights here for a ski holiday. The fact that it’s so new, but already delivers such high quality on every level, is exceptional. From what I gathered, this is also their first hotel project, which makes it even more impressive.

Property & rooms: The entire hotel is finished to an incredibly high standard. All the materials they used are very high end & the attention to detail is stunning. It’s obviously brand new, but the style & materials are timeless. The use of natural stone and weathered wood throughout makes it feel very cosy. Rooms are well appointed & spacious with great amenities. Personally we found the mattress a bit on the hard side, but it wasn’t problematic and we still slept well. Even the underground parking was impressive, which says a lot about their attention to details.

Food & Beverage: We stayed on half board basis. Dinner is a gastronomic 4-course meal every evening. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s on a Michelin star level, but it def. equals many Fine Dining restaurants. The wine list is very extensive, qualitative and the prices remain very reasonable. Also for breakfast they use high quality products, it’s a mix of small buffet with some à la carte options and most importantly: very good coffee.

Service: This is what often makes or breaks a hotel. The fact that they have been open for only 3-4 months and were able to deliver this level of service, is what's most impressive. They were able to attract fantastic staff who are super friendly and skilled. Sometimes great service can still feel a bit cold in high end hotels, but it wasn't the case here. It seems that the hotel values their staff highly (as they should) and gives them some good benefits, which might explain why they managed to secure such a great team in their first months of operating. Special shoutout to Sara, who was our waiter for the week & really made our stay incredibly memorable. She's incredibly kind & warm hearted. Hopefully the hotel manages to keep her on for many seasons to come.

Location: Also great, for both winter & summer holidays. In a quiet part of Colfosco, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, it’s impossible to get sick of these mountain views. It’s not a ski in/out property but the slopes are literally a 2min walk and you’re right on the famous Sella Ronda. Ski & Bike rooms feel both very high end as well.

We only have one remark, which is about the Spa. They should put some signs up to indicate that the Spa is a ‘quiet zone’. You come here to relax, but during our stay some guests were quite loud and not mindful of other guests. Also a sign by the sauna that one should always use a towel would be good, as some guests just go in and sit/sweat directly on the benches. It also seems that the hotel accepts visitors (even small groups) who don’t stay in the hotel, which is surprising. Most high-end hotels only allow outside visitors if they also book a spa treatment. I hope they will start doing so in the future, because sometimes it became too busy and it takes away from the exclusive feel of it being a small boutique hotel.

Nevertheless, we had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back...

Our stay at Hotel Recort in Colfosco was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their hospitality truly set the tone for our vacation.

The service throughout our stay was impeccable. Every member of the team was attentive, friendly, and eager to assist with any requests we had, from recommending local attractions to ensuring we had a good understanding of the ski resort map before we embarked on our weekly ski adventure. It was evident the staff genuinely cared about our experience, making our family feel valued and well-informed.

Breakfasts were a delightful treat each morning. The variety and quality of the food was outstanding, with fresh pastries, local cheeses, and hearty options (inc. eggs made our own way) to fuel us for a day on the slopes. Dinners were extremely impressive, showcasing 5x courses of delicious regional cuisine that left our taste buds dancing. The presentation of each course was incredible and the alternating menu meant we got to experience something completely different each night. We also particularly enjoyed the atmosphere of the dining area, which made each meal feel like a special occasion.

The amenities at Hotel Recort were a fantastic addition to our stay. The pool and spa facilities provided a perfect way to unwind after a long day of skiing, and the gym was well-equipped, allowing us to stretch and maintain a fitness routine while on holiday. The serene ambiance of the facilities overall was incredibly relaxing, and we loved indulging in the various saunas on offer.

One of the biggest perks of staying at Hotel Recort was its close proximity to the slopes. A convenient walk to and from the hotel entrance meant we could easily access the ski lifts, making our daily excursions hassle-free. The hotel also provides secure lockers and ski racks separate to the rooms to store our gear safely overnight.

The cleanliness of our room was impeccable, with attention to detail that made it feel fresh and inviting throughout our stay. The stunning views from our room only added to the experience, with breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding mountains that we cherished each day.

Overall, our family vacation at Hotel Recort was an unforgettable experience, and we would undoubtedly stay here again if we were to return to the mountain. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the wonderful memories we were able to create, and we cannot recommend this hotel...

Di ritorno dal nostro pernottamento presso l'Hotel Recort, travolti ancora dal ricordo di un soggiorno qualitativamente eccelso ed entusiasmante, non possiamo non riservare e dedicare alla dolce Debora ed al suo dinamico ed intraprendente staff le nostre più sincere riflessioni. |CUCINA: sa dell'incredibile immaginare che le pietanze servite a cena siano creazioni culinarie realizzate da ragazzi poco più che ventenni. Il menu serale, composto da quattro portate (selezioni di burri e pane, antipasto, primo, secondo e dessert) a scelta dell'ospite tra tre differenti proposte (onnivore, carnivore, vegetariane) è l'espressione autentica di una cucina giovane, coraggiosa, che osa, sperimenta, crede e ce la fa a pieni voti. Di qualità eccelsa la materia prima, interpretata magistralmente dagli chef, cui va riconosciuto il merito di aver saputo nobilitare, in chiave contemporane e sincera, ogni singolo ingrediente, esaltato - al palato ed alla vista - in tutte le sue forme, senza eccessive sovrastrutture o condimenti che andassero ad occultare incertezze o inesperienze. Non c'è stata portata che non ci abbia ricordato un dipinto dai colori limpidi e vivaci, privo di sfumature. Le pietanze sono generose, ma non eccessivamente abbondanti. Abbiamo apprezzato vivamente la scelta di porzionare i piatti in maniera contenuta; questo ha consentito di godere appieno di ogni singola proposta (conservando la possibilità di chiedere un ulteriore assaggio, assecondato ad ogni nostra richiesta senza alcuna riserva) e di contribuire ad evitare sprechi alimentari, cui spesso siamo stati abituati in altre strutture ricettive. Fermamente convinti dell'idea che agli eccessi culinari vada preferita la qualità dei prodotti, abbiamo, difatti, sposato caldamente la scelta di equilibrare, nelle quantità, le proposte giornaliere; scelta - quest'ultima - leggibile, tra l'altro, anche tra le proposte del buffet della colazione, ove le pietanze e le bevande, di superlativa produzione locale, sono offerte in rapporto al numero degli ospiti presenti e prontamente rifornite, in fase di esaurimento, dall'abilissima Cinzia, direttrice egregia del momento più "dolce" della giornata. Magistrali i prodotti da forno preparati da uno dei ragazzi di brigata, disponibili a colazione (cornetti, panini rustici e salati, torte, muffin, crostate) ed a cena sotto forma di pane o focaccia, lavorati giornalmente con farine diverse, adeguate ai piatti proposti.|PERSONALE: Max, Sara, Antonino, Elia. Sono solo alcuni dei nomi dei giovanissimi ragazzi dello staff, cui tendiamo virtualmente la mano in segno di sincera riconoscenza e gratitudine per le attenzioni, la cura ed i gesti cortesi riservatici inaspettatamente in questi giorni. La loro costante presenza, tradottasi mai in invadenza, ha accompagnato ed onorato il nostro soggiorno. A Max e Sara va il nostro grazie per la premura e la leggerezza, tipica della loro giovane età, con cui hanno onorato dignitosamente ed egregiamente il servizio a tavola. Ogni portata è stata servita con sorrisi accoglienti e con spontanee ed apprezzatissime e non comuni iniziative (ricordiamo ancora, con lo stesso inspiegabile stupore, il giorno in cui Max ci ha conservato, per la colazione successiva, del pane che avevamo apprezzato molto, ma non disponibile al buffet; così come ricordiamo la presentazione improvvisa, da parte di Sara, di un ulteriore assaggio di portata di graditissimo apprezzamento). Ad Elia, cultore esperto di carte di vini, va, inoltre, il nostro grazie per averci avvicinato, con la sua travolgente curiosità ed ironia, alla scoperta dei calici e della complessità delle preparazioni delle bollicine. Ad Antonino, invece, il merito di averci introdotto in questa struttura, con il suo fare accomodante, amichevole e sincero. Mai avremmo creduto di poterci sentire accolti da così tanto calore ed affetto e di poterci intrattenere a colloquiare, così come si fa tra buoni amici, con tutto il personale. |SERVIZI: abbiamo apprezzato positivamente la presenza di un servizio di pianificazione giornaliero, gestito egregiamente da Marco che, con dovizia di particolari e personalizzazione, ha saputo programmare ogni nostra uscita fuori porta, proponendoci differenti e plurime combinazioni di attività esterna e ristori pomeridiani. A lui va il merito di averci suggerito un percorso stradale che rientra, a mani basse, nei nostri indelebili ricordi. Validissimo anche il servizio di pulizia degli ambienti comuni e non. Ogni angolo della struttura è inondato da un profumo inebriante che sa di freschezza e di salubrità. Le stanze, ampie e confortevoli, sono riorganizzate giornalmente in maniera impeccabile ed in tempi rapidissimi. Il ricambio della biancheria e dei prodotti bagno (di qualità eccelsa) avviene a frequenza costante. Sono disponibili anche creme corpo, oltre ad altri prodotti per la cura personale estetica e non, di non scontata presenza. |CENTRO BENESSERE: l'area benessere colpisce già al solo sguardo. Il design elegante ed essenziale esalta l'ambiente in maniera superlativa. Le sospensioni luminose contribuiscono a rendere distesa e rilassante l'area interna, gestita in maniera impeccabile dalla dolce Giulia, abilissima nel regalarci dei piacevolissimi momenti di benessere. Abbiamo usufruito di differenti trattamenti che hanno rigenerato la nostra mente, prima ancora che il nostro corpo. Giulia ha saputo accogliere ed ascoltare, assecondandole, le nostre esigenze, personalizzando i trattamenti prescelti. La qualità delle proposte benessere è altamente ricercata e qualitativamente non comuni. |LOCATION: sebbene non collocata al centro di Colfosco (poco meno di 5 minuti di percorrenza a piedi), l'ubicazione della struttura è molto vantaggiosa. Dall'hotel, muovono sentieri che consentono di esplorare pienamente la valle ed i Comuni circostanti. La vicinanza allo stabilimento di risalita è ulteriormente favorevole e la prossimità non diretta della struttura alla strada consente di godere appieno di quiete e silenzio. Disponibile, presso la reception, la possibilità di noleggiare biciclette o Mountain bike. Segnaliamo, inoltre, la presenza di una fermata bus appena fuori l'ingresso dell'hotel. |L'hotel Recort è stato questo e tanto altro di bello non raccontato, che preferiamo custodire gelosamente nei nostri indelebili ricordi. |Grazie, Debora.
