We arrived in Rimini with our three children (ages 9, 6, and 15 months). We initially had some trouble with the parking, but the staff accommodated us by letting us park in their garden. Upon check-in, the staff had everything ready for us, and gave us a brief walk through of the apartment (we stayed in the 4 person apartment). Between the lady's limited English and my limited Italian we figured things out! We were pleased to find the room neat and modern (having lived in Europe for 2 years now, we realize this is not always the case). Our room had a kitchen with a two burner stove, sink, a small refrigerator, a microwave, dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. Downstairs is all one kitchen, dining, living area (it was a fair amount of space). There was a dining table with chairs near the kitchen. In the living area there was the TV (all channels were Italian-cracks me up to see reviewers complain about the TV being all in Italian. If your in Italy, it seems silly to expect otherwise.) There were also two oversized chairs that folded out to single beds, upstairs there was a double bed (the usual two singles pushed together), and a single bed with plenty of space for the baby's bed we brought along. The bathroom was a decent size with a stand up shower. While I would not say the apartment was as furnished as an American hotel, it was more furnished then most hotels we've stayed in here in Italy. Our room also had a balcony facing the beach. Although the hotel is across the street from the beach, we could see a small section of the beach. I highly doubt this is the case for many of the rooms. As I said, the beach is right across the street, so it is a very convenient location. The beach is very nice, with a restaurant and playground equipment located on it. The playground equipment was great for when our kids got tired of the sand and water. Along with the cost of the hotel we were also given a voucher for free rental on two beach chairs and an umbrella, as well as a 10% discount at the beach restaurant (it served Italian style sandwiches and salads, hot dogs, hamburgers, and french fries). We stayed two nights and were entitled to breakfast both mornings. Breakfast was cappuccino, coffee, hot chocolate or juice, croissants with various fillings, and toast with a variety of jellies. It was not bad, but nothing extravagant. The hotel is near a number of restaurants within walking distance up and down the street. You can eat at the restaurants or take-out and eat in the room. There is also a small grocery store nearby, and a few souvenir shops. We were very pleased and surprised by our accommodations. The location is also hard to beat. We did not have time to venture into the town of Rimini, so I can't speak to how close/far or easy to get to it is. But if you are looking for a beach hotel, this is it! The staff was fabulous; very friendly, courteous, and helpful. We were barely out of the driveway before we started talking about coming back and...
