Hotel Villa Anita — Hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure

We were there for 11 nights as a Home Base to visit the area..the room I booked was the Comfort w/ Balcony...it was definitely too small for 2 people for 11 nights...Sandro, the terrific owner, proposed an upgrade to the superior w/ terrace...just a lot more spacious feel and better layout...the cost of the upgrage was fair...Sandro and all the staff were so helpful and very nice and friendly...||The breakfast was excellent and fresh and the women who worked there were so nice..|The cute little pool was a big plus if it was not a beach day...perfect to take refreshing dips after lying in the comfortable chairs sipping your vino...we went to the Beach 6 days and the pool was great on non beach days...||An observation is that one of the staff can check by the pool on ocassion to see if anyone needed a drink...be good for the guests and the Hotel would sell more drinks..|Just have a bit more of pool service with drinks and snacks to increase revenue..||The hotel is located in a very quiet part of Santa M..it is up a moderate hill from Caffe del Porto..walking uphill via the path is fine if you are in decent shape and want to burn off some calories..But - if you have difficulty walking or climbing stairs this may be an issue..also no elevator in Hotel...so that's another consideration for people who are not too mobile...you can taxi to the hotel for 20 Euro/ 25 Euro after 9PM...||Overall a terrific Hotel with classic Old School...

Fantastic stay at a family run hotel in the town of Santa Margarita Ligure. ||I stumbled across this hotel by chance and I am so happy I did. It is small and provides such a personal experience. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay, recommending things to do and restaurants to visit. ||Breakfast was 10/10 with a fantastic selection of homemade pastries, fruit, juices, breads etc. Thoroughly enjoyed waking up in the morning to the fantastic spread provided by the hotel on their beautiful terrace. ||The room was comfortable with a small balcony but was perfect for the two of us. All comforts were thought about by the hotel which even had a Dyson hairdryer in the room! ||We also hired e-bikes from the hotel which was a fantastic experience. Bikes were well kept and modern. This was one of my favourite things we did during our stay. ||The pool was also lovely to chill by and cool off in the hot summer sun. The hotel provided towels for the pool as well as a tote bag to put them in.||Massive thank you to all the staff who made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
