Trattoria da Pino — Restaurant in Santa Margherita Ligure

Every dish is scratch-made from locally sourced ingredients. They (sometimes if you're lucky) make a ravioli with locally picked herbs that's to die for. You must have their shrimp. Their deserts are made in-house by the chef. Their seafood is better than that of any famous seafood restaurant I've visited in Houston, TX, my hometown. This is a restaurant about which romantic movies could be made. It's small, informal, passionate, and delicious.

We've been here twice. Our family comes here weekly when they're in town. Never mind all the other things you could do in Ligure, come here to eat.

I post a photo of one of their fish dishes. Fish was done simply and perfectly. The potatoes, simple potatoes, sent us to heaven. I'm NOT exaggerating!

Also a photo of their squid and eggplant appetizer, spiced and sauteed simply and to perfection, the photo almost not taken because I was so into eating the food. May not look like much, but as I was scarfing it down, politely of course, I wanted the chef to adopt me right then and there.

Small little family restaurant ran by a rather nice 60 something lady the food and service was excellent. I had lasagnette with pesto followed by fritta mista and sauted potatoes and a wonderful home made blackcurrant tart with ice cream f-pr dessert and all was wonderful.
