Hotel Al Faro — Hotel in Santu Diadòru/San Teodoro

Our flight back to the UK was cancelled so we had to find a hotel room for 2 nights and Al Faro was the only place in town that had rooms going - I now understand why that was. ||||Giacomo, the manager, was extremely rude to us from the moment we stepped in the place. He asked us to cancel our booking with Booking.com and pay in cash which I found to be unprofessional. ||||Giacomo accused us on several occasions of having 4 people stay in a 3 man room - we continually assured him that this simply wasn’t the case. Early on the first morning of our stay we were woken up by Giacomo banging at our door with 2 weapon carrying policemen. On Giacomo’s request, the policemen demanded our passports and aggressively entered the room to search for ‘more guests’. As we had previously assured Giacomo, there were only 2 guests staying in the 3 man room - the 3rd guest had left early that morning and there was never 4 people sleeping in the room. ||||This was a harrowing, and stressful experience that has left a very sour taste in our mouths. Giacomo was confrontational about the ordeal despite being completely in the wrong. Upon checking out, we didn’t receive anything close to an apology from Giacomo. ||||When booking, we had the choice between sleeping at Al Faro or on the beach. Siamo arrivati all’hotel cercando un parcheggio perché non capivamo dove potesse essere l’entrata vista la tanta spazzatura la tanta roba ammucchiata, quello che doveva essere “il proprietario “ (e abbiamo||Sperato fino all’ultimo che non fosse lui) esce dalla struttura chiedendoci perché eravamo andati dalla||Parte posteriore dell’hotel e se avessimo buttato della spazzatura vista la tanta ma Tanta spazzatura dietro. ||Bene troviamo parcheggio entriamo in quello che si dovrebbe definire “hotel” e sfortunatamente scopriamo che lui era il proprietario!||Veniamo a malapena accolti e stupiti dalla “hall” del hotel, fili che pendevano dappertutto, roba ovunque , sporcizia ovunque, pensavamo fosse uno scherza ma sfortunatamente no! Pensavo che il peggio||Fosse finito ma non avevamo ancora visto la Camera! ||Fate attenzione con le valige se ne avete molte perché non esiste ascensore e sopratutto lui non vi propone nemmeno il suo aiuto! ||Saliamo per andare in camera accanto alla||Nostra porta c’era di tutto sembrava un mercato dell’usato , tavolo da Ping pong rotto, sedie rotte, estintore per terra un incubo! ||La porta della camera più vecchia di quella che si può trovare a casa di nonna. Entriamo in camera che era una manzardina con tetto basso la porta del balconcino aperta è un caldo da svenire! ||Beh certo la porta del balcone era aperta per obbligarti ad usare l’aria condizionata visto che non è compresa nella prenotazione la paghi 15 euro al giorno! E come se non bastasse il mitico proprietario entra a tua insaputa per spegnerla e riaprire la||Porta del balcone per questo abbiamo||Trovato anche delle api nel bagno e una specie di nido sul muro secco. (già cosa assurda che mi entri in camera). Tutto molto sporco, un bagno che il bagno dei puffi in confronto è di lusso! Una doccia che se sei alto più di 1,60 trovi delle difficoltà talmente è bassa! Una tenda della doccia marci e putrida! ||Attenzione a caricare i telefoni o altro nel||Giro di 10 minuti tutto era surriscaldato avendo paura che tutto potesse scoppiare, niente è a norma||Non so veramente come faccia ad esistere un posto del genere nel 2025! Da denuncia! Assenza di tapparelle la porta non era isolata e sul balcone avevi il motore dell aria condizionata dunque un rumore orribile per tutta la notte! Il mitico proprietario ti inganna dicendoti che tutto è scritto e prima di prenotare bisogna leggere ma non è vero nulla, prenoti e poi ti arriva un bel messaggio in privato che dice che tutto è a pagamento! Se vuoi cambiate le lenzuola paghi se vuoi pulita la camera paghi la televisione la||Paghi! Cosa che non c’è scritta da nessuna parte! Foto delle camera naturalmente modifiche niente è reale. Solo purtroppo il proprietario lui si è reale! Non so come possano far gestire una struttura con mille problemi ad un personaggio del genere! Scortese, senza modi e assolutamente non capace! ||Ho prenotato fortunatamente solo per 3 notti perché ho prolungato la mia vacanza avevo già soggiornato per 10 giorni in Sardegna niente a che vedere con questo hotel e vi assicuro che non siamo delle turiste difficili, ma questo veramente è stato un incubo! Per 3 notti ho pagato caro , si fa pagare per la posizione della strutta a 5 minuti dalla Spiaggia la cinta ma||Se avessi saputo prima mi sarei fatta anche 4 chilometri a piedi ed evitare tutto questo scempio! ||||Evitare evitare ed evitare spero chiuda al più presto sono una viaggiatrice abituale e non ho mai||Visto qualcosa del genere in tutti i miei viaggi e sopratutto un personaggio del||Genere! Non prenotate assolutamente non c’è nulla di positivo solo la posizione ma vi assicuro che accanto a questa struttura ci sono altre strutture che ne valgono...

The room was on the first floor directly above the kitchen and the outlet of the wood fired pizza oven. Our balcony faced the dirty backyard and the smoking staff below the window. During all times of the day and night we heard the noises from the kitchen / the backyard and/or the outlet going on and off. Additionally, other guests coming home in the middle of the night slamming doors and talking on the hall did not help. During our 2 nights stay we barely slept. The air-conditioning did not work but we did not bother to make a complaint and asked to fix it.
