Villaggio Turistico Lugana Marina — Hotel in Sirmione

Stayed here for 9 days in one of their ‘villas’ and had a great time.||Location - about a 20 minute drive into the more busy areas of ‘downtown’ Sirmione but it did mean it was always quiet and relaxed which was perfect for us.|The site is also right on the lake which again was simply perfect for us.||The site is next door to two restaurants. Both of which do take way. In terms of eating out, we preferred the Silk restaurant which was a 7 minute walk along the lake.||There is a Lidl supermarket 5min drive away which did fresh bread each morning along with all the usual groceries.||Service - the staff were all excellent and couldn’t help us enough including making telephone calls to local boat hire companies etc. There are about 10 or so bikes for you to borrow FOC and also rent some newer ones should you prefer. It’s only a 5min cycle to the local shops including a small supermarket and a great cake shop right in the lake front - great for breakfast!||Accommodation - we stayed in a separate villa type place that could sleep 5 in a double (with ensuite) and a triple room with two single beds and a bunk. Our friends stayed in an apartment and they also had a washing machine which we didn’t. Other than that, we were really pleased with our villa (#102) as it was very close to the pool. The kitchen had a hob but no oven or microwave so other than a bit of pasta or hob-based cooking you will struggle.||Advice - the lake was great but very rocky underfoot. Take some surf type shoes to wear in the lake as our feet took a hammering!||Summary - would definitely come back and recommend you to...

Watch out!!! Attenzione!!! Achtung!!!||||🚨watch out, that they don’t ruin your hollidays!🚨||||Very greedy owners and management.🤑🤑🤑||They advertise a nice pictures of vacation village and write: “all units feature a kitchenette, private bathroom and a balcony or patio overlooking the pool or gardens”.||So we chose a nice bungalow (not the cheepest option they have) made a reservation and pay in advance. ||||🚨BUT WATCH OUT!🚨||Yesterday when we arrived they put us with small baby in a house on parking lot. Yes, between the cars on parking lot, with no garden, no pool sight and no grass around. Just asphalt, cars passing bay and parking around and in front of bungalow.||||We made a complaint right away, and they offerd us another accomodation but wanted more than 200€ extra. On booking.com we found free (vacant) apartment for cheeper price but they said that this is a mistake and didn’t want to put us there. So we asked for refund, because there is a lot of other nicer and less expensive appartments around.||And they did not want to give us money back.||||Now we are stuck on a parking lot wih small baby crawling around🥺||||I have never seen the management and the personel so greedy and selfish. I don’t belive that any of them would like to spend their vacations on a parking lot. But they are putting peolpe there.||||They don’t want to give us another appartment and don’t want to give us refund, so we could found a better place.
