This friendly, family-run hotel surpassed all of our expectations. Arriving after a long bus journey, we were given free water to drink and taken straight to our room, even though we had arrived two hours before check-in. The room was lovely, with many homely touches which all other places we stayed in did not include. We felt very welcomed and settled very quickly. The bathroom was very clean, the room quaint and pretty and the air conditioning- brilliant. The best part to mention is that the hotel let the guests use their free bikes that they keep at the back of the hotel- there were quite a few, with children's bikes and a range of different sizes- great money saver. For food, we used the bikes to bike to the top of Sirmione, a half an hour journey and a very lovely, easy ride, however their are restaurants on the way which were lovely overlooking the lake. There is also a cheap bus service from a stop less than 100m outside the hotel which would take you to the top of the lake! The breakfast was lovely, with different options and although she spoke little English, a lady was very kind and made us a lovely drink of coffee. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival. Our host immediately served us with a complementary glass of fizzy wine or beer while she dealt with our checking in. This made us feel very relaxed and pampered and was a very good start to an enjoyable stay. The rooms were a decent size each decorated in a different colour theme and individual styled. A lot of effort and thought has gone into making the rooms welcoming and enjoyable to stay in. The bed was very comfortable and there was a very good air conditioning system. The bathroom was a good size and had a good shower with plenty of clean towels and toiletries supplied. Breakfast was amazing! Our host had made every effort to provide us with all that we could want to eat and drink- it was a banquet. There is also a very pleasant area to the back of the hotel for sitting out and a great garden full of home grown fruit and vegetables. We were in a large group of nine people and we all had a very enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation...
