We first had a large room for two but the drain in the shower was clogged and since it's was an Italian shower there was water all over the bathroom (not to mention that we never get hot water).|So they changed our double room to a way smaller one with 2 tiny single beds, the kind of room that only fits to teenagers but not to fully grown ups.||And we realized the next morning that our room was in the old part of the hotel, and that our window was right above the renovation works in the street ! which implied being awake at 08h00.||The walls are so thin you can hear people in the room next door to yours (including taking their shower) the beds are not comfortable (the mattress is stiff), the sheets are harsh (limit scratchy) the comfort in the room is very limited, and for those who cares there are no other channels on TV than Italian ones.|The breakfast is catastrophic : the choice is limited and the quality of what is proposed is industrial ! forget about the freshly squeezed juice or the tasty ham, you can see that everything comes from the store right next door (namely conad).||So unless the comfort of the room in the new section of the hotel is entirely different you can forget about this hotel !||We were supposed to stay 3 nights but we left after the second one; I've been to a lot of hotels in my life and it's the first time I'm leaving an establishment conscious that I'll be losing money doing so.||To sum up : if you want to stay in Stresa, find...
Read moreBooked via TUI and thankfully (after reading the reviews) we were given a room in the new part of the building.|There are lots of stunning hotels in Stresa and the Boston is reflected in the price.|Location couldn't not be better. Easy walk to the train station, bus stop and tourist information. Beautiful lake a couple of minutes walk. |Our room on the 3rd floor was simple but light and bright.king size bed was comfy. Large Patio window on to a small balcony with a couple of chairs|Bathroom had a large walk in shower. Plenty of hot water. The negatives here were, no hand soap only fixed in the shower. No towel hooks. Stayed for 7 days. After day 5 I had to ask reception for clean towels. Under the bed had not been swept before we arrived as we found a hat under the bed. No tea or coffee in the room but a kettle, sugar and a couple of fruit tea bags were available. But you can buy hot drinks and alcohol from the tiny bar.|Definitely do recommend, at this price point and location.|Lovely breakfast room. Really lovely staff in there too. Nice selection of sweet cakes and pastries but limited hot food and no variety. |Would have been nice to eat in on a...
Read moreTerrible experience! Me and my boyfriend booked the hotel via booking for three nights. Unfortunately we had a family emergency as the conditions of my grandmother already very sick got worst and I had to leave on Friday because I wanted to see her for the last time. I couldn’t leave before as I was bride of honour for a wedding so I asked if it was possible to change my booking for just one night. Booking contacted the hotel before the checkin to ask for it and the owner refused to give us a refund for the two days we were not going to use the room. A part from the complete absence of humanity on a situation like this, the room was not good at all, mould in the toilet and a double bed made by two single mattresses joint together, the hairdryer doesn’t work properly and if you want camomile you have to pay 3€!!! 15€ for the car park per day. It is basically a robbery for nothing. Do not book this hotel if you do not want to ruin your holiday with...
