Residenza Simona — Hotel in Tremezzina

BE CAREFUL.. HOST IS DISHONEST!!!! My family booked this accommodation for two nights & host did not inform us of road closures due to land sides in the area from excessive rain.. after driving 4 hours from Florence we could not access the accommodations & were told to wait town for 2+ hours.. we then tried to drive & the local police said the roads were closed & they did not know when they would be reopened but it would not be today… we kindly asked to be refunded for the two nights & Giovanni refused stating it’s not his problem & we could drive 1.45 hrs through Switzerland to access the accommodations… EXTREMELY DISHONEST.. he is now fighting me through PayPal to keep the funds even though we did not/could not stay.. this was unsafe for my family & we also had a flight...

Good apartment with pool and super helpful hosts who gave great directions and local info. Lovely local area with plenty to do and see - a trip to Bellagio is a must with good parking near the car ferry and Villa Del Balbianello (book in advance to avoid a big queue). The peaceful, air conditioned apartment is high up on a hill so you need a car to get about as even for the fittest it’s a very steep walk. The place was absolutely fantastic. Views are super, and the facilities in the residence are also nice. The owner (Simona) was very helpful and super nice. We called her because we thought the washing machine wasn't working and she came immediately and explained how we should operate it.
