Wine Note da Kita & Nora — Restaurant in Tremezzina

Avoid this place like the plague; seriously the poor reviews are spot on for this place.

We were greeted by a nonchalant person sitting down (we still dont know if she worked there or not) who advised us that we could sit downstairs in the wine cellar. Fred West's cellar more like; it was in total darkness and absolutely filthy. We opted to sit upstairs instead in their "patio" area - this can only be described as a place that sneering locals go to smoke roll-ups.

After around 10 minutes of trying to get a menu and the attention from the person who told us that we could sit downstairs (who may or may not have actually worked there) we decided that rather than starving to death and being buried under the patio that we would instead go and eat where they would serve us, in our case Il Cris just up the road or Ranch Pizzeria around 6 mins walk towards Sigma supermarket.

Avoid at all costs - shocking...

Sono stato per la terza volta sempre alla vigilia di Natale e non ci tornerò mai più questo anno 2024 abbiamo cenato io e la mia amica antipasto 1 porzione di sciatt (10 pz)senza bresaola in due, 2 porzioni spaghetti alle vongole ( che erano piccantissime), una grigliata pesce (buono tonno,spada e 2 gamberoni), e un tiramisù ( era congelato e non buono) una bottiglia bianco ca dei frati più 2 bicchieri bianco e un acqua naturale da 7/10 digestivi e un caffè totale 150€ passiamo il prezzo alto per quello che abbiamo mangiato. Dopo cena poi ci siamo spostati al bar come la mia amica essendo nata Ossuccio e vissuto lì per tanti anni, aveva degli amici lì abbiamo bevuto qualcosa e poi ci siamo trasferiti in piazza della chiesa per la vigilia. Dopo di che siamo ritornati al bar ho chiesto se poteva fare un caffè per la mia amica lui mi ha risposto no perché aveva lavato la macchina ( va bene ci può stare anche se tutti i servizi devono essere offerti fino alla chiusura) quindi ho chiesto due bottigliette acqua gasata ma non me le ha date quindi le ho chieste a sua moglie ma mi ha risposto che doveva andarle a prenderle di là (10 metri distanza) non li ho chiesto di regalarmele ma non è andata sono tornato al tavolo con gli amici di lei, vedo la moglie che va di là a prendere una bottiglia di lemoncino per i paesani(per loro si) quindi racconto la storia al amico ( lui del posto) e va dal proprietario che va a prendere l acqua ma io ho detto che non la volevo più come si erano rifiutati prima. Al momento di uscire sono andato alla cassa a per pagare acqua che era stata aperta da lui ma non bevuta quindi mi sembrava giusto pagarla e gli ho dato 50€ alla moglie e gli ho detto di tenerli per il disturbo e spiegato le motivazioni che era andata a prendere lemoncino mi ha risposto che l acqua era arrivata dopo( non vero era nel frigo in sala dove avevamo cenato) che non c era e poi ha iniziato ad infuriarsi ed è intervenuto il marito per tranquillizzarla, sono andato per spiegare le mie motivazioni a lui ma mi ha detto di andarmene perché se non mi metteva le mani addosso e io gli ho risposto che se ci provava io chiamavo le forze dell’ ordine che non avrei mai reagito. Mi ha detto che non sono un paesano di lì quindi lui fa quello che vuole ( però i soldi dei turisti le accetta e anche tanti) dice a me che non sono paesano poi sua moglie e la sorella sono le prime straniere!!! E in più c erano ragazzi che fumavano all interno. Consiglio tirate lungo e non fermatevi in questo locale leggete anche le altre recensioni negative dove ci sono scritte le...

I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant. Christian and Nora were amazing! They danced and sang with us all night. We tried new drinks I've never tried before including Limoncello shots and shots from their specific grapes. They were so kind and fun! They didn't have "charcuterie" on the menu, but we learned to order their meat and cheese board by letting them know with photos. The atmosphere outside is ROMANTIC! It is surrounded by plants and we sat at a wooden picnic-like table just the two of us. They're so quick to clean it for us too when we first sat down. Christian and Nora are so personable. They know the locals and know how to have a good time. They treated us like family and sang me Happy Birthday! They even let me choose a song to sing...
