Our family booked 3 apartments/Rooms in this Hotel so we have a broad perspective of the different rooms available:||We booked 2 apartments in the annex building that is located about 100 M up the road (after the sharp curve), it is an important issue as the underground car parking for the annex guests (that is much better than the parking for the main building guests we saw) is located at the main building and you have to walk down and up the road in order to get to the car or the reception. I assume that in bad weather it may be an issue, but for us it was not that bad having some exercise walking up the hill after a day of skiing… ||The 2 apartments were very well maintained, have a full kitchen and a small dining table. There is no real view from the apartments we got (as they were at the rear of the building and not facing the road and the valley), and are very different in the shape. The room in the second floor had no real living room, just a small kitchen and table and the couch was in the hall way. The apartment on the first floor was planned better and had a larger living room+kitchen so all of the family members were able to sit together. Both apartments had 2 small private balconies each. ||The room for two in the main building we reserved was also well maintained but obviously much smaller. The thing is that first we got a room that its balcony was not really a balcony but the entrance to the building. During the stay, the room was replaced to a different room per our request (free of charge) to a better located room, with much better view of the valley , though the balcony in the main building is not private but joined to all apartments; ||Overall our stay in the hotel was very positive, and Diana and the owner helped us in any way they could, but there is just one issue that I think they should reconsider in the way the hotel is run- clearly they are focused on reducing the energy bill of the hotel- they turn on and off the central heating system and there were mornings with hot waters and other without, there were days the room was not heated until very late, and others the heating system started earlier. As a result my young son felt a little cold sometimes, and shower in the morning was not always an option…in addition, the sauna in the annex is operated just from 17:00 and just if you remember to request it will be operated next day, so you can't spontaneously go there…unless someone else already reserved it. We felt this focus on the energy bill hurts the experience of the guests stay and should be reconsidered. ||Other than that, we think the hotel is a good choice, located a short car ride from the ski lifts, and close to some nice restaurants (the Biblos restaurant is a very good choice and you get a 10% discount for the...
Read moreAfter travelling from Australia and an additional 5 hours to the hotel, the owner declined checkin due to not having a European Union Green Pass (European Union Vaccination Certification). Although I had an eligible Australian International Vaccination Certification. This certificate is valid in Italy as an equivalent Green Pass. Which is specified clearly in the Italian Ministry website (refer to attached screenshot). The Australian Vaccination certificate was used to enter Italy upon arrival from Australia (in addition to international travel COVID test) and used with all other Italian businesses without an issue. It is not possible for a non EU resident (traveller) to apply for a Green Pass EU as they are not registered in the EU medical database (tried). The Hotel owner requested a COVID test upon arrival to allow check in. This was neither agreed upon or highlighted in the payment process, nor it is a governmental and legal requirement by the Italian ministry for Italian businesses. Hotel owner created legal requirement on the spot for a COVID Test referenced from the the Italian Ministry website to ENTRE ITALY. Was neither allowed to checkin nor get a refund for the room.
Was stranded with luggage in outside temperatures 1-2C°, lost 4 non replaceable hours from my Skiing trip. Had to involve the Italian Police to mediate and clarify the confusion. Furthermore, was down 80€ for transport costs to the Police Station and back to the Hotel. Finally, was then able to checkin post Police intervention. Never had such bad experience in a hotel before.
So if you’re looking for a smooth, comfortable...
Read moreWe stayed at the Miramonti Hotel w/c 12/02/18. Apartment was tiny for family of 4. Additional charge 10 euro for using dishwasher. Only one key card provided. Key card goes to the electricity slot which was the main issue to use one card for different facilities (example: open sauna room). Sauna available between 4.00-8.00 pm. ||Huge mould founded in our apartment. No further discount or alternative apartment proposed. Mould has been clean next day. A rude hotel owner - professional and polite receptionist.||One day we have had no hot water or central heating issue for 17 hours (6.00 pm - 11 am). No apology whats so ever.||Hole in the wall in bathroom - ventilation purpose I guess. It wasn't professional way at all. ||Good location but noisy - High Street.||Car park provided in other place 300 m away. ||I wouldn't recommend this place unless further improvements...
