As a young couple we found this place was a great base to use when visiting Venice! We stayed here for 5 nights and the location in the Mestre was perfect! It is located just down the road from a cheap supermarket that sells anything you could possibly need, the bus stop is just a 2 minute walk away and is about a 15/20 minute journey into venice itself. The main square in the Mestre is just down the road and we would recommend highly recommend spending a few hours or even a day exploring it, it has lovely restaurants that are just as nice as those in Venice yet much cheaper.||The hotel is more like guest rooms, you have to arrange a check in time as there is no reception and you get given a key and left to go on your way until you check out. The staff speak good english and are helpful with any issues. The rooms are very basic, but clean and they have everything you could possibly need. There are cleaners which make up the room everyday and and very friendly. The only issue we had with the room is on our last day the cleaner left the shutters and the window open on our room (which was on the ground floor) which unnerved us slightly as we were out all day and anyone could have entered our room from outdoors. Although, this is the only issue we had and we are glad nothing went missing out of our room. Overall this place was an amazing base in which to experience the wonders of Venice without breaking the bank, it allowed us to see and experience much more whilst...
Read moreIt's not even a hotel. It's like a flat with rooms. I passed it several times and then noticed it. ||The woman Teresa is very rude. When I booked I received email that check in at 3 pm and I need to make appointment as no one is there during the day. ||I understood I can't even.leave a bag. I wanted to cancelled as I couldn't walk around with 10 kilo bag but she was so rude to me from the very beginning. I had lots of.problems with my cards and explained to her that I will have money just in couple hours . It was not even checking time. I could just leave bag and go and.come back . But she kept on telling me that I can't leave bag and I can't even Use bathroom because she can't verify payment. That was Such rude behaviour. She has no respect for her clients. ||I ended up leaving and found hotel Chris around the corner for same money a 3* real hotel with complimentary coffee, free amazing breakfast and a receptionist who you can ask things and buy bus tickets and who is so sweet and helpful. I explained to them my situation and they were so helpful and let me in . And half hour later my card worked and all was fine. ||I would advice to look for regular hotel where you can be happily accommodated by professional staff. But These people are not in hospitality business as they don't know how be hospitable to...
Read moreHad the misfortune to stay here on a brief visit to Venice. Phoned ahead to say we would be late arriving (about 8.30) , well we were coming from Lubjiana in Slovenia. Was told nobody would be available to sign us in and more importantly the car park would be closed. After finding some onstreet parking after 20 minutes we had the onerous task of making entry. There was very little signage to indicate where the entrance was. What followed would grace a computer game. A combination to open a box. Take three keys. Open an outer gate. Open the front door. Then open the door to the room. The room itself was good enough but nothing special. Wasn't a very restful nights sleep worrying about the car that had to be moved by 8am from the street. Only problem was the hotel car park didn't open til 9. Two vouchers for a breakfast were left for us and after what seemed like a half kilometre walk to a local cafe we were served two glasses of lukewarm orange juice (no coffee available due to mechanical failure) and two tired looking croissants. This was breakfast apparently. Now I could accept all of this if it was cheap but when you're paying the thick end of £75 a night you should be entitled to expect someone onsite overnight, 24hour access to the car park and a...
