I was always coming to this place but from this time onwards I will not come again. First of all, if you are going somewhere you are the client and you should receive service. For this I have no problem but when I just accidentally dropped my wine because of shakening table I ask for new wine also it shouldn’t be. A case the bar should offer ! . The people in there insisted that it’s my problem and they want to charge me for the first wine that I eventually couldn’t drink. First of all a bar should learn what is the meaning “hospitality “word is. Around Mestre centro there is also another bar that I m visiting frequently and they always offering me extra things as a gentile act because I’m regular customer. Guys I’m also working in this sector and you should learn how to keep customer satisfied. First of all, you should check shakening tables and you should fix it beforehand in order not to cause any accident and also you shouldn’t use phrase like giving order as listen to me towards client. You should say could you please. I will never definitely...
Read moreThe place was so good we had to come again. The Linguine San Danielle was delicious as was the Gnocchi and the Angus cut. In our opinion the absolute star of the show was the San Danielle. The creamy sauce with salty pork specks was absolutely amazing. It was definitely our favorite dish this trip to Italy. The staff can take a moment to warm up to you, but I get it. They are used to dealing with locals, so I appreciate being served these culinary masterpieces in their home town. Thank you Mr. Gino for making an exception and allowing me to take the food away. Please don’t listen to any bad reviews. Osteria Da Gino is just about as local as you can get. I do recommend you make a reservation. You may get there and see no one in the restaurant, but others have made reservations prior. Remember Italy doesn’t kick you out quickly or serve fast food. They take their time; so often tables are prioritized to those who have a...
Read moreStopped in around 9pm for wine and food. Bar area and seating outside was packed but found a few open tables inside. Waiter was extremely helpful and patient with the language barrier. I had the clams with white wine garlic sauce and pasta and my wife had the lasagna. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Fresh basil and tomatoes tossed in as well. I was grateful for the extra bread on the table so I could soak up any remaining sauce. The lasagna was probably the best lasagna I had on our 10 day trip in Venice and I ate all the way from Lido to Mestre. The lasagna had a folded in cheese that had a smooth, velvet like texture and was amazingly rich. Great little family owned restaurant with an awesome staff. From the outside it doesn't look like much but the food is definitely worth...
