I can't believe how fortunate I am to have discovered Camping Castel San Pietro—it truly is a hidden gem that has consistently exceeded my expectations year after year. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking view overlooking the enchanting city of Verona. The sight of the city at sundown is an experience that is etched into my memory forever. It's a view that words can't do justice to; you simply have to witness it for yourself!
The facilities at this campsite are nothing short of fantastic. Impeccably maintained, they cater to every need a camper could possibly have. Whether it's the well-equipped showers, clean restrooms, or convenient cooking areas, Camping Castel San Pietro has set the bar incredibly high. And what makes this place truly exceptional is the warm and welcoming staff. Every time I've returned, I've been greeted with open arms and genuine smiles. The staff's dedication to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay is truly commendable.
Camping Castel San Pietro isn't just a campsite; it's a haven of tranquility. This campsite is where the connection between nature and the city's beauty is seamlessly intertwined. Read moreOur favorite lodging we’ve chosen so far in Italy. It is clear that much attention was put into creating a welcoming and kind atmosphere. It is decorated with beautiful string lights and there is a gorgeous view of the city.
On our week long Italy trip, we’ve been finding room lodging at campsite villages, this was by far our favorite one. We stayed for 2 nights in the Ponte Pietra room and it was our cheapest lodging, while being the largest spaces we’ve stayed in. Lotion and body wash (with towels) were waiting for us on our arrival in the room (supplied with two fans, a kettle, and more sting lights🥹). The bathrooms were very clean and accessible, and the staff was very kind. Lots of cold potable water.
The location is absolute perfection, the city center being easily accessible with a short walk. Our room was close to the lower gate which allows you to roam the beautiful streets of Verona within a minute. Ideal place for a visit to the city. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Cannot wait to come back here, truly a special...
Read moreI would like to start this review with something positive; the location is greatly situated near the old centre of Verona and has a high potential! There, that is the positive aspect of this camping. We stayed for one night and found that the place to put up our car with rooftop tent was too small. There was very little room to move around the car, and couldn't open all doors. Also opening the tent mingled with the tree's around our car. The camping facilities are poorly taken care of. Yes, things I used such as the lavatory and the shower functioned but it was heavily outdated and untidy. A short walk around the camping learned me that most camping spots are very very small, cramped and for people who only have tents they are not easily accessible because of the paths leading up to the camping spots. This would not be such an issue if the price we payed for the one night wouldn't have been so exorbitant. All in all poor value for money however a greatly situated location to...
