Terrible! Terribile! Abscheulich!

(EN) First, I had a sweet alcoholic drink spilled on me by one of the waiters. I was drenched to my underwear while the waiters stood there not knowing what to do. I asked for a small towel to dry myself. It didn’t help much. The person who I later discovered was the owner of this restaurant, was busy chatting up two ladies at a nearby table for 15 minutes.

When the food came, despite it being a “hot meal” - as it was listed on the menu - the meat was room-temperature cold.

The reason I was there, was because I had received great service when I was there with an Italian speaker in the past. It wasn’t the same service without a local Italian speaker. Apparently tourists are viewed as dispensable, not repeat customers. It’s a trend I have noticed.

I won’t be going back to that restaurant. There are many other restaurants in Verona where the service is fantastic.

(Stay out of Piazza Erbe. It’s a well known tourist trap).

(IT) Per prima cosa, uno dei camerieri mi ha rovesciato addosso una bevanda alcolica dolce. Ero fradicio fino alle mutande mentre i camerieri stavano lì senza sapere cosa fare. Ho chiesto un asciugamano piccolo per asciugarmi. Non è servito a molto. La persona che ho scoperto in seguito era il proprietario di questo ristorante, era impegnata a chiacchierare con due signore a un tavolo vicino per 15 minuti.

Quando è arrivato il cibo, nonostante fosse un pasto caldo come indicato nel menu, la carne era fredda a temperatura ambiente.

Il motivo per cui ero lì era perché in passato avevo ricevuto un ottimo servizio quando ero lì con un oratore italiano. Non era lo stesso servizio senza un oratore italiano locale. Apparentemente i turisti sono visti come superflui, non clienti abituali. È una tendenza che ho notato.

Non tornerò in quel ristorante. Ci sono molti altri ristoranti a Verona dove il servizio è fantastico.

(DE) Zuerst wurde mir von einem der Kellner ein süßes alkoholisches Getränk überschüttet. Ich war bis in meine Unterwäsche durchnässt, während die Kellner da standen und nicht wussten, was sie tun sollten. Ich bat um ein Handtuch zum Trocknen. Es hat nicht viel geholfen. Die Person, die ich später entdeckte, war der Besitzer dieses Restaurants, war damit beschäftigt, zwei Damen an einem Tisch in der Nähe 15 Minuten lang zu unterhalten.

Als das Essen kam, obwohl es eine warme Mahlzeit war, wie es auf der Speisekarte stand, war das Fleisch Raumtemperatur kalt.

Der Grund, warum ich dort war, war, dass ich in der Vergangenheit einen großartigen Service erhalten hatte, als ich mit einem italienischen Sprecher dort war. Es war nicht der gleiche Service ohne einen lokalen italienischen Sprecher. Anscheinend werden Touristen als entbehrlich angesehen, nicht als Stammkunden. Ein Trend, der mir aufgefallen ist.

Ich werde dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen. Es gibt viele andere Restaurants in Verona, in denen der Service fantastisch ist.

We were there yesterday evening. It was very bad!

We had to ask for the waiter & the waitress always with our voice, even a sign they ignored - we would still be sitting there without having ordered.

The starter came with my boyfriends main course, the salad did not come. After calling them again, they brought it after we had eaten the pizza. We shouldn't have asked for it again - it tasted horrible. The Bruschetta was basically an empty pizza with some row tomatoes.

When the black haired waiter was not flirting with the blond pony tailed waitress, they were gossiping about us guests in front of all other guests.

Un'esperienza da dimenticare

Domenica ho pensato di provare per la prima volta questo ristorante insieme ad un gruppo di amici, dieci persone in totale. Sorprendentemente, trovare un tavolo libero non è stato un problema, il che avrebbe dovuto essere il primo segnale d'allarme.

Il locale, ampio ed accogliente, non poteva nascondere la disattenzione del personale, che ha dimenticato ben due ordinazioni.

Dopo un'attesa che sembrava interminabile, il servizio si è finalmente degnato di apparire, portandomi antipasto e secondo in un colpo solo. Di fronte alla mia obiezione che l'antipasto, per definizione, precede il secondo e che una frittura (il secondo) va consumata calda, il cameriere ha risposto con una teatrale alzata di occhi.

Dopo la mia lunga motivata insistenza, la frittura è stata portata via, lasciandomi con l'antipasto. Poi, il personale è svanito, lasciando me e il mio piatto freddo in un deserto di attenzione. Alla fine, ho dovuto alzarmi e cercare il responsabile per ricordargli dell'esistenza del mio secondo piatto e dell'ordinazione mancante ad un altro commensale che non aveva ancora ricevuto la pizza.

Dopo ulteriori attese degne di un'epopea, il responsabile è tornato, chiedendomi se desideravo davvero, ancora la frittura. Confermato il mio desiderio, mi è stata servita la stessa frittura di prima, ormai fredda ed immangiabile. Ho deciso di non protestare ulteriormente e di terminare il pranzo nel minor tempo possibile.

La qualità del cibo era al di sotto di ogni critica: la frittura, oltre ad essere fredda, era un ammasso di pastella e il pesce inesistente, sostituito da frammenti di verdura. Il conto, poi, è stato tutt'altro che conveniente. Per questi motivi, sconsiglio vivamente questo ristorante e non ci...
