Easy Stay Verona Rooms & Le Golosine Fiera Rooms — Hotel in Verona

Firstly, those considering staying in this place should be aware that it's actually two different properties. The other location is a few blocks away on Via Golosine. We apparently booked the other location by accident instead of this one. The address is mentioned in the listing on the booking page, so I accept some fault for not reading this carefully enough. However, I would argue that it is highly misleading and unusual for the booking flow from Google Maps to allow you to book another location than the one which was selected. So this is also the fault of the owner for how they set up their booking process.

Now getting to our actual experience with the stay: I had made it very clear in my booking that we would be arriving earlier in the day (about 11 AM) and would like to arrange to drop our bags off if the room was not yet available. The owner apparently did not bother to read my booking after accepting the payment since we heard nothing from them up until the time that we arrived at this location on the day of our reservation.

Since we had still not been sent check-in instructions, we called them and they informed us that we could not leave our bags there. This was obviously a huge pain for us and threw a wrench into our plans... but fortunately a nearby hotel graciously allowed us to store our bags there despite us not having a reservation. At this point, I already wished we had chosen the hotel!

The owner then finally sent us check-in instructions only two hours before the scheduled check-in time. Before doing this however, we were asked to send photos of our ID documents over SMS (!!) which is, at the very least, unprofessional and possibly a violation of EU data protection regulations...

The room itself and the apartment are mediocre but acceptable. They were relatively clean and in OK condition. The kitchen is, however, completely useless since there are no pots and pans or necessary cooking equipment.

Overall, the lack of professionalism in management and mediocre quality were below our expectations given the price of the room (~150€ for one night). I would not recommend this place to anyone generally, but definitely do not pay more than 90€ for it. Do yourself a favor and...
