儘wagamama(わがまま) — Restaurant in Biei

❗Someone give the waitress with the cat tattoo on her arm a raise! She was incredibly friendly, kind, and clearly took great pride in her work. I don’t mean to offend the other staff, but the difference in service was really noticeable.

I can't say much about the pricing since this was the only izakaya I visited in Biei, but compared to Tokyo, the prices felt very low. Everything we ordered was delicious. We especially liked how they presented some of the dishes — for example, the “fire gyoza 🥟 🔥” Actually, it’s just tasty gyoza, but the presentation was on par with upscale restaurants in Ginza.

There were fewer customers than in some of the other places we tried to visit (which were already full by 6:00 PM, despite opening at 5:00-5:30 PM). I’m not sure why this place wasn’t as packed, but my wife and I really enjoyed everything. Drinks also was good, especially the draft beer 🍺...

The waitress was very kind and the atmosphere is nice overall but they force you to order 2 plates of food and one drink per person… The dishes weren’t tasty at all- we ordered two different pork dishes and got basically the same, one with rice and one without. The worst part was to hear the microwave ringing in the kitchen… The salted macrel is basic one but you will get tiny amount that is not worth it at all. The gyoza was awful, burnt with the taste of a frozen one. We ended up with a bill of 4000+ yen for 4 small plates and 2...
