The hotel is close to the domestic terminal, and it cost me about 700¥ to get there from the airport, and taxis are plentiful, but try to get the “normal taxi”, as they are cheaper (if you’re trying to save a buck).
The hotel itself is pleasant, the check-in/check-out process was stress-free. As for the room itself, it was small-ish, but it had everything i needed for a 1 night stay…the bathroom was very nice, & included a bathtub (a long hot bath is just what the doctor ordered, after the past few hectic few days i experienced)! The hotel offers free drinks at the restaurant (which is closed in the afternoon, but is used as a sort of “hangout” by guests to relax), but i didn’t partake. Food wise, they have mostly the ramen type soups, assorted ice creams, non-alcoholic beverages and various sweets…i wound up taking a taxi to a “Lawsons” nearby to buy something for dinner, and a round trip cost about 1200¥ (about average for Japan).
The BEST part (for me) was the pajamas they had set out for me…sooo comfortable, i bought a pair for myself!
They also offer a free breakfast for guests, which i found very delicious, and they also have a free shuttle bus to the domestic terminal at Fukuoka airport.
Overall, i really enjoyed my night there, and would GLADLY stay there the next time i...
Read moreGranView Hotel has a nice room and bathroom! It's my first time ever in Japan and my first ever hotel so I cannot compare it with any other hotels in Japan. But I am more than satisfied with my first ever experience. They even provide you bedroom clothes which saved me one of my pajamas. I especially love their luxurious soaps, from face and handwash, to body soap, to shampoo, and conditioner - I swear if it was allowed, I would have brought those large bottles with me 😂 Oooh and the breakfast was great too, couldn't try everything coz I was playing safe for my two more flights but really, they were so good! Lastly, they offer free shuttle service to the airport, I had domestic flight we left at 6:05am. Of course the staff were all great, polite, and helpful, I miss my grandma. I am really happy! Arigtou Gozaimasu! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
P.S. Since I'm a foreigner, I paid an extra 200 yen on site for Tax.
P.P.S. this is where i experienced my first ever automatic bidet that they were talking about online, I'm speechless and satisfied by them (them, yes, coz it has more than one...
Read moreThe rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet with everything you need. The plastic cube shower bathroom standard functional also very clean & good quality reusable amenities. Pajamas are cute but tiny for full sized guests which is typical for me in Japan 😂 I love how no wasteful plastic water bottles or amenities in room, take what you need from lobby. And turn on AC & heat, fridge only if needed. Free breakfast also great with options even for vegetarian plantbased vegan like me. The freshly made tofu awesome! Free shuttle to airport & less 10 min by taxi here, perfect after or before hectic travel. The staff are also helpful, friendly & lovely locals. It's not going to wow you with design or anything fancy, but a solid dependable stay near fukuoka -...
